She didn't forget to raise her hand in front of him; she was more eager than him to tie their bond officially; Liam laughed and grabbed her slender finger, put the ring, but stopped halfway when a disaster happened.
Because the ring couldn't get on her finger no matter how hard Liam tried, once he tried harder, he only stopped when he saw the frown between Rose's brows and looked at her apologetically.
"I'm sorry, did it hurt?" he couldn't believe he didn't think about it before he came to propose to Rose in such a hurry because she wanted to hold the wedding soon.
"No, but why is it not getting in? Liam Jones, you couldn't even remember my finger size, so why did you come to propose to me?" Rose complained that such a romantic proposal turned into a disaster because of his carelessness.
Liam wanted to slap his face, he forgot she had grown into a fine woman, and her size had also changed.
"I brought this ring a while ago," he told her the truth since the situation was not in favor.
Rose's expression softened a little, but not entirely, but she waited for his answer patiently; Liam grabbed her hand, still kneeling, showing no discomfort.
"I bought it on your 18th birthday, it's been six years, but I forgot your size has changed," Liam said regretfully.
He wanted to give her this on her birthday because he thought she would come back on her 18th birthday, but she was so furious that she didn't even celebrate her birthday; he was in pain because he was the reason.
Rose's eyes turned teary; he said he loved her for the last 11 years as much as she did, but then she thought he liked her, but he was serious about buying a ring beyond her expectations.
She sobbed silently. "I thought you forgot about me; you never called me, never asked about me, and that's why I never returned for the last ten years.
Now you're telling me you were about to propose to me on my 18th birthday; why didn't you come to me? So it's not like I went to a space you are not allowed to go to?"
Rose regretted every moment she had lost, just hating him.
"Because we had so many misunderstandings between us." Liam knew even if he asked her in the past to get engaged to him, she would reject him to his face,
That's why he patiently waited for her to grow mature enough to understand the situation and knew he was not wrong about his decision.
Rose pouted, but her tears were not stopping, yeah he was right; she may reject him without a second thought because she always thought he made love to another woman,
So how could she accept a man who another woman tainted? She hated this kind of thought because as much as she was crazy about him.
She knew her heart; she would never accept a man; she would always feel like she was using a secondhand thing and not a man she loved with her all; slowly, she might hate him for it.
"Then how are you going to put it on my finger?" Rose stopped crying and asked him teasingly; when Liam felt her teasing smile, he grabbed her hand again and put the ring on her kinky finger.
"Let's just use it as our promising ring; I'll give you the best wedding ring at our wedding." Liam kissed her hand.
Rose laughed and hugged him without a second thought.
David, who stood not far away, wanted to facepalm; he didn't even change the ring or fix it before he came to propose.
If he was in Rose's position, he might have already kicked him to death; he was so careless in such a serious matter, yet his foolish sister accepted everything.
Even though he couldn't hear their words, he knew what Liam said to make Rose get so emotional.
Kate and Nina were confused; they couldn't hear Liam's word from there because they wanted to give the couple enough space, as Liam requested.
"What's going on?" Kate asked David when she couldn't understand what exactly went wrong; David turned his head and looked at his little Wifey.
He couldn't resist kissing her, but he didn't want to ruin his sister's innocent eyes, so he held back; if David could, he would go back to their room and make love to his wife and then cuddle her to sleep, but his wife would never allow him and drag him back.
He patted her head since he was adorably shorter than him and pulled her close to him. "He didn't change the ring he had selected six years ago."
David sneered while saying this; he didn't want to say this foolish idiot was his friend and soon-to-be brother-in-law.
"6 years ago, but I thought brother Liam didn't love Rose so deeply to buy a ring for her?"
Nina couldn't help but say, as far she knew both of them loved each other, but at that time everything was impossible,
but who knew he would even bring a ring for Rose, she was not even in S country, and he didn't know if it was possible or not.
David sneered, "This pervert went to her college on her 18th birthday."
David revealed a great secret of Liam's, which not even Adam knew, yet David knew, but he never asked Liam because, as a man, he understood Liam's attempts,
And that's why he never bothered with their relationship; David always believed if they were fated to be together, they would meet again and choose each other over everything.
And now, seeing the final result, he knew he was not wrong,
Nina and Kate looked at Liam with shocked expressions, he hid it quite well, yet they were trying to push him toward Rose like fools.
"Wow, brother Liam is such a romantic person; he waited for Rose to grow up and return to him for the last ten years. Hats off to him; he is such a patient and romantic person. Ow, I like him even more now."
Kate said in a gentle tone; Liam was always a brother figure to her whom she always looked at with respect, but she failed to notice the man beside her having a sourness in his heart.
His face turned dark, and the cloud covered his entire body.
But his fire was put on hold when he heard Nina's complaint.
"Now I know why my brother called him a masked gentleman; he is so creepy." Nina snorted; she used to give him some hints about Rose over the phone.
How she was doing, or if any boy was getting near her; now, she believed Liam always acted because he wanted them to tell him everything on their record yet not show his hiddenness.
"Oh god, I'm never going to fall for a man's words because their heart is even more twisted than a woman's, see he always linked with Rose through us,
