CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 261

Clara sounded skeptical, “What is it?”

Mrs. Grant giggled, “Wait a second. I’ll send it to you right away. I guarantee you would love it.”

Then Mrs. Grant sent the pictures that she had taken to Clara via Facebook without hanging up the phone.

After receiving the photos, Clara went quiet all of a sudden.

Mrs. Grant was surly merry and proceeded, “Clara, you see, Marshall and Katherine are actually divorced and got the certificate long ago, so it should be perfectly normal even if you really had anything with Marshall.”

Clara was still silent.

Mrs. Grant knew that Clara must be thunderstruck now, after all, she lied to her before by saying that Marshall and Katherine were still legally married without getting the papers, so it was totally understandable that Clara can’t get her head round this news during such a short amount of time that she had sprung the divorce on her.

Mrs. Grant then heaved a sigh and told Clara about the WF Group accident which justified why that Marshall didn’t want to announce the divorce with Katherine to the public. He actually didn’t have any extra feelings for Katherine but was just afraid that his reputation might be marred should the whole divorce be boiled up.

Mrs. Grant sounded upbeat, “Now it’s totally fine. The whole WF Group accident is over. Now we can just unleash the divorce to the public and you can be together. Do you see how easy it is to settle the whole thing?”

Clara paused for a long time and then spoke, “Can we really do that?”

“Why not? This is the best solution for you both.” Mrs. Grant smiled.

Clara didn’t reply, but she knew that Mrs. Grant hadn’t completely figured out the whole thing for a single divorce certificate wouldn’t be able to untangle everything. The WF Group accident might be unearthed once the divorce paper was known to the public.

Mrs. Grant continued, “Well now that some Internet trolls are calling that you are a homewrecker, right? You can just post these pictures and show that you two have mutual affections for each other. This will shut them up.”

Clara thought for a while and said, “Actually, Marshall should release the divorce himself. I can’t just handle this myself without asking for his opinion. He might get angry.”

“Surly he wouldn’t. There are no worries here.” Mrs. Grant was quite certain.

Clara didn’t continue and hung up the phone, saying that she needed some time to think it over.

Clara then locked herself in the room. Sitting on the bed, Clara pondered for a long time and examined those photos which can clearly show that Marshall and Katherine went through the divorce procedure long before the WF Group accident and Marshall’s business trip.

However, deep down, Clara knew that this was not a good timing to release the divorce to the public.

She had just been exposed that she could be secretly dating with Marshall and if Marshall just announced the divorce now, the public could easily connect the dots and associate the whole thing with WF Group, then all the words that Katherine had explained before would be regarded as lies and would only be taken as she was dousing the rumors for Marshall.

What’s more, Marshall had just divorced and then was reported to have some unexplained affairs with the female staff. No matter what the truth was, the public opinion would still favor the female employee.

Clara shut her eyes and was feeling undecided.

So who the hell bestowed Katherine the guts to swagger in front of her?

Thinking of this, Clara opened the door and went downstairs.

The Hendersons were all sitting in the living room.

Clara grinned, “I got some news for you and need your help on making the decision.”

Seeing Clara this way, Old Mr. Henderson paused and slowly unfolded his knitted brows.

On the other side of town, Katherine was lying on the bed and reading the text from Hector. He was saying that she shouldn’t feel too bad about what happened.

Katherine stroked her chest and wasn’t honestly feeling sad or anything. She was probably numb at this point.
