Katherine paused and zoomed in the photo.
It was Marshall drinking the wine. It looked like they didn’t go outside and were drinking in the Grants mansion.
Peter clearly had taken this shot secretly since it had only Marshall’s side face.
But Katherine can see that Marshall was a bit downcast.
Katherine didn’t know why Peter would send her this photo since he must be upset for what was unfolding on the Internet and had nothing to do with her.
Was Peter really stupid enough as to assume that Marshall was depressed because their divorce?
What a foolish idea? They’d divorced long ago and he sure wasn’t distraught or anything.
Katherine didn’t want to talk with Peter anymore to upset her.
She went out and tossed the phone on the sofa. Out of sight, out of mind.
Then she joined the dining table again.
Kyle laughed, “What’s wrong? Is Marshall in a dark place? Is it because of you.”
Katherine suddenly broke into laughter, “Forget it. I’ve divorced with him a million years ago. If we really want to get to the bottom of this, isn’t Clara the root cause? Don’t try to get me involved. I won’t take it.”
Kyle thought for a while and nodded approvingly, “You got it right, actually. Clara must be joyful now that she had forced Marshall to announce your divorce. It’s worthwhile even that she is trolled by the netizens.”
Katherine got a mouthful of dishes and waved her hand, “Let’s leave it. How annoying. Let’s continue this hearty meal.”
Hector also added, “This accident would sure blow over soon. Now that the gossip is updating constantly. No one would remember this forever. It’s okay.”
Katherine nodded, “Right.”
They then all drank the bottom up and started talking about something else.
He mentioned that there was a talent show about singing recently and Rosalie was thinking about investing in it. She presumed that this show would be the next trendy thing.
Kathrine giggled and looked at Hector.
On the spur of the moment, she said, “Hector could give it a try. He’s really a good singer.”
Kyle also had drunk a lot and instantly got excited, “Right, Hector should definitely try that. I’ll ask my sister to pull strings for you.”
Hector smiled, “I think I have to pass on this one. I am really getting hectic about the company stuff.”
Katherine actually thought it was a good idea and said, “You should really give it a try. You don’t like your current job anyway. If you can really achieve something in singing, you can just quit this job. You don’t want the Bennetts asset anyway. You have your own choice.”
Kyle suddenly stood up, “I will tell my sister the first thing tomorrow and just sign you up once this program is certain.”
Hector chuckled and looked at Kyle, “Just sit down and enjoy the meal for now. Don’t be so excited.”
Katherine stared at Hector, “I actually think this could the best for you. Don’t worry about other things. you don’t do anything wrong. You got nothing to do with the Bennetts stuff. If someone really trashes you because of your true identity, we would just drag all the Bennetts down then. I’m sure they would help you.”
That Kevin sure would help him to deal with the bastard troll.
Katherine then added, “Don’t be afraid. Or we can just ask Kyle to hire some robots. They can solve anything.”
Kyle chortled, “True, true.”
Katherine really had a great meal and the news online really hadn’t affected her that much.
But Marshall was completely different.
He called Peter to the mansion and opened two bottles of wine.
Peter really didn’t feel like drinking, but seeing Marshall this downcast, he really didn’t have a choice.
Marshall had never been so upset before.
Peter drank a few and just couldn’t continue anymore.
Sipping the wine, he looked at Marshall who was silent all the way and drinking all the time.
Peter let out of a sigh and wondered if Marshall just wanted someone to accompany him.
