Chapter 143
Bryan opened his shut eyes for this question.
He grasped the quilt, and a female face appeared in his mind.
The memory brought Bryan a bad headache. He felt burning hot all over his body.
Why did Finley ask this question suddenly? Was she trying to sound out his feelings toward his first. love?
“I don’t know,” Bryan replied perfunctorily.
He didn’t want to talk about his first love with anyone, including Finley.
“I want to find him.” Finley’s eyes shone for the expectation in them.
Finley now had the ability to get clues about Gates.
She couldn’t just sit there and wait.
Bryan bit his lips tightly and felt bad.
Silence pervaded the couple. Finley could no longer resist her fatigue and fell asleep.
“Don’t, don’t… Mom, Mom… don’t go.”
“Don’t come over.”
“I will kill you.”
Finley had a lot of nightmares that night.
Her enemies appeared in the dream one by one. They tried to kill Finley and hurt her love.
Finley huddled up like a kitten. She moved toward Bryan while murmuring in the dream.
Her body was cold, but there were big beads of sweat on her forehead.
Bryan couldn’t sleep well.
So he instantly woke up when Finley touched him.
“Bryan, please, help.” The girl pleaded humbly with a hoarse voice.
Finley was a woman of pride, so it took Bryan by surprise that she sought help from him in the
dream.
Bryan stretched out his big hand and held Finley in his arms. He gently patted Finley on the back to calm her down and said, “There there. You got me.”
Finley smelled a familiar smell, which was pleasant and made her feel safe.
