Chapter 19
Finley saw light suddenly.
That was the goal of Bryan!
Bryan acknowledged Finley as his wife to arouse the hostility from the servants.
“I thought you were a private doctor of Mr. Turner. It is a lie! I was a fool to worry about you and take care of you,” Kate muttered.
She felt that Finley had betrayed her.
Since Finley was Mrs. Turner, Kate didn’t dare to scold her. Kate left with a poker face.
The others said with fake respect, “Mrs. Turner, let us know if you need anything. We will get back to our positions now.”
“Okay.” Finley nodded.
The servants left the living room and had a meeting in the courtyard.
“No way! This ugly woman is actually the wife of Mr. Turner! What is so good about her?”
“Isn’t f
the daughter of the butcher, who sells pork in the wet market, more beautiful than her?” “Isn’t Mr. Turner a gay? Did he do so to fool Mr. Alton Turner?”
“I think so!”
“If so, we don’t need to dread that ugly woman. Mr. Turner doesn’t care about her anyway!”
“Okay…”
Soon, all Finley’s stuff was packed up and sent to a guest room on the ground floor.
This guest room was simple and rough, no better than the dormitory of those servants.
Finley didn’t bother to find out who had made such an arrangement.
Finley wanted a good rest now. She had a new task tomorrow.
After a shower, Finley lay on the cold bed and fell asleep soon..
This was a bedroom on the third floor.
Bryan in a bathrobe leaned against a French window with a goblet in his hand elegantly.
It was past 12 o’clock in the evening.
Bryan lowered his head, glanced at the goblet in his hand, and then squinted at the doorway.
He was waiting for Finley.
Finley shouldn’t miss the opportunity tonight since she was anxious to bear Bryan’s child.
