Calvin knew where to stop. He got up from the sofa. “It occurred to me that I still have work to do in the afternoon. See you later.”

Then, Calvin fled quickly.

Night fell, and this was the Turner’s mansion.

The low–key and luxurious black Maybach drove in to the garden slowly.

Finley was enjoying the night scene and the breeze on the roof. She immediately turned around and went downstairs at the sight of Bryan’s car.

Kate went over and took the coat from Bryan. “Welcome home, Mr. Turner. Dinner is ready.”

Bryan put on his slippers and walked into the parlor. He glanced at the dining room and asked, “Where is she?”

Obviously, ‘she‘ meant Finley.

Kate hung the coat on the hanger in the corner and answered, “Mrs. Turner is on the roof. I’ll invite her down for dinner.”

Before Kate went upstairs, light footsteps echoed in the stairs.

Soon, Finley appeared at the stairs.

Kate immediately stopped her. “Mrs. Turner. Mr. Turner is back. Please come down for dinner.”

Nodding, Finley turned to walk to the dining room.

Bryan had sat down in the main seat to wait for Finley.

Finley couldn’t help but think of what she had seen in the Turner Group this afternoon at the sight of Bryan’s back.

Bryan had sat in the office as elegantly and expressionlessly as he did now, and Calvin…

Finley suddenly had goosebumps all over her body.

Finley had wanted to get on well with Bryan. However, it seems difficult now.

Bryan heard the sound of footsteps behind him and intended to have a good talk with Finley about

his illness.

After a long while, the sound of footsteps disappeared, and there came the bang caused by the door.

Bryan turned his head for this abrupt noise, and there was no sight of Finley at all.

The atmosphere in the room became cold, and Bryan was irritated.

Bryan asked with a cold face, “Where is she?”

“Mrs. Turner ran back to her room.” Kate went to the guest room on the first floor and knocked on the door. “Mrs. Turner, Mr. Turner is waiting for you to have dinner.”
