Chapter 317
I didn’t like mustard at all. It was so spicy that I would die of it, okay?
A full plate of mustard was placed in front of Evan.
Evan looked at Finley for help.
Finley swallowed her saliva and turned her face away, pretending to have seen nothing.
She did want to help Evan, but her pleading would make Bryan jealous. In other words, Evan would suffer if Finley spoke up for him.
Her neglect was the best solution for Evan’s crisis.
Calvin shivered with fear.
Nobody dared to offend Bryan. What had Evan done? Why did Bryan punish him with mustard?
“Hey, Mom… What is up? I’ll be right back. I’m having dinner with Bryan. Okay. I’ll be right back.”
Evan had quick wits in an emergency. He pretended that there came a call. Evan stood up with his phone, talked to himself on the phone, and walked to the staircase.
Evan hung up the phone, looked back, and shouted, “Bryan, my mom wants me to go home right away. Enjoy your lunch! See you later.”
Then, Evan rushed downstairs.
It took Calvin by surprise that Evan was timider than him. He fled faster than me.
“Chaim, your friend is gone. Dine with us. Relax. Bryan has a good impression of you. Do you like to be friends with us? I am Calvin.”
Calvin stretched his hand toward Finley.
Finley looked at Bryan and saw his sullen expression.
She didn’t dare to stretch her hand. “Well…“
Finley was thinking of how to refuse Calvin.
Bryan glared at Calvin and said, “Calvin, I didn’t know that you were good at flirtation.” Your target was my wife.
You had hit on my wife three times tonight.
