Chapter 340
Finley and Allison walked on the shady lane at campus.
“Finley, Mr. Thomas disappeared after that day when we established our relationship. I text him, but his reply comes slowly. Does he forget me? Does he regret his impulse?”
Allison looked distressed and didn’t want to play games at all. This agitated Allison was new
to Finley.
“He may forget what he said. He may not take his words seriously. He may be busy with his work. Don’t forget that he is a top model. He won’t be so idle as us.” Finley analyzed the case for Allison.
Finley hoped that Allison would deal with this problem calmly.
I would turn to Bryan for help if Calvin made a fool of my bestie.
Bryan: Did I do anything wrong?
Finley: You should be responsible for what your buddy did.
Bryan: How unreasonable you were!
“Okay. I will check his Facebook later. If he is busy with work, I will behave as a good girlfriend
should,” Allison comforted herself.
Finley and Allison saw Evan when they walked past a teaching building.
Finley stretched out her hand and greeted Evan. “Evan…”
At the sight of Finley, Evan instantly ran away as if he had seen a ghost.
Finley was speechless. “… Am I that scary?”
Allison said, “He may dread Mr. Turner rather than you.”
Finley waved her hand and said, “I wanted to hire him to be my lackey. What a mistake! I shouldn’t be good to such a coward, Shame on him!”
“Yes, what a coward!” Allison agreed.
School was over in the afternoon.
“It is just a private banquet. Mr. Turner said that you could be yourself and that he didn’t need you to make him proud but enjoy the food there.” Harry told Finley what Bryan had said.
Immediately, Finley became dejected.
Didn’t Bryan look down on me?
Alright, then.
I would attend the banquet.
Twenty minutes passed.
The car arrived at one mansion belonging to the Turner family. The mansion looked like an antique palace, elegant and beautiful.
Finley walked into the mansion.
A familiar figure in a black suit came into view.
Finley stood rooted to the spot, dumbfounded!
