Chapter 45
Finley went back to her room, took off her nightdress, and dumped it into a trash can. She put on her favorite cartoon pajamas, slumped onto the bed, and cursed Bryan in her heart.
The next morning, Finley was woken up by a call from Dirk.
She didn’t want to answer the call at all.
However, the phone kept ringing. It was rare for Dirk to call Finley so persistently.
Finley crawled out of her bed and picked up the phone.
“What?” Her tone was cold.
That was the right attitude to confront a jerk.
“Come home immediately,” Dirk ordered.
Finley tittered. “No. Didn’t you drive me out? Why should I go back?”
“Mr. Alton Turner will be here soon. He wants to see all my daughters. He will have the final say about the wife of his grandson.”
“So my sisters can outshine me in front of Mr. Turner and win his heart?” What a jerk Dirk was!
However, Finley would love to help this time.
“Okay, I’ll be right back.” Finley hung up the phone after snorting.
Bryan didn’t mention that he would have a meeting with the Keith family.
If so, Bryan must be ignorant of this visit and it was a plan made by his grandfather.
Finley found a decent white dress from the walk–in closet. She tied her hair to a ponytail, sat in front of the dressing table, and painted the birthmark on her face carefully and quickly.
It was easy to see the birthmark because of the ponytail.
