Chapter 50
For the sake of both herself and Alton, Finley made up her mind to help Bryan forget the past and bear a child for him as soon as possible.
Finley and Alton chatted on on the way home.
Alton was happy to learn that Finley studied medicine and wanted to bear a child for Bryan as soon as possible.
Then, Finley sighed with frustration, “Grandpa, I try hard, but Bryan still refuses to spend the night with me.”
“What? Haven’t you two slept on the same bed yet? Bad news!” Alton looked grim when the bright smile disappeared from his face.
“Finley, for the sake of my great–grandson, I got a plan.” The old man beamed.
Finley leaned closer, pricked up her ears, and listened carefully. “Grandpa, I am listening.”
“You study medicine. Why don’t you put something helpful in his daily diet?”
“Er… did you want me to drug him?” Finley asked with astonishment. Was this old man really Bryan’s grandfather? Horrible!
“Supplements in diet and pills… At last, there are those magical potions.” Alton rubbed his jaw and pondered for a moment. “If you are too shy to buy those stuff, I may help.”
Wow! How audacious this old man was! Finley liked him!
Finley pulled up her slack jaw and then beamed.
Now Alton sided with her.
Finley would be fearless in front of Bryan now.
“Grandpa, your methods are aggressive. In my opinion, a child should be born into a loving family. I will work hard to make Bryan love me.” Confidence flashed in Finley’s eyes. The smiling Finley seemed to glow.
Alton scrutinized the birthmark on Finley’s face.
