Chapter 77
Bryan shook off Finley’s hand with anger, sprang to his feet, and left with his coldness.
In the eyes of Calvin and Daphne, the couple did have a fight.
Bryan was in a rage and might be softened up by some good words.
Finley got up to follow Bryan to leave.
Daphne stopped Finley by a call and said, “Wait a minute, Finley. I have something to tell you.”
Finley stopped, turned around, and asked with a smile, “What is it?”
She was anxious to catch up with Bryan.
“It seems you don’t know Bryan well. He doesn’t like annoying girls. Why don’t you try to make peace with him tomorrow? Don’t push him.” Daphne seemed to be considerate.
However, Finley felt that something was wrong.
“Thank you, Daphne. The first bottle of perfume is ready. I will send it to you later.”
“Okay.” Daphne nodded and watched Finley leave.
After the couple left, Calvin drank up the red wine in his glass and got up to pay the bill. “It’s time for us to leave. You must be tired. I’ll drive you back to the hotel.”
“Calvin, that woman is not simple. Do you know what she came for just now? It was a warning because she regarded me as Bryan’s admirer.” Daphne was in a bad mood.
“Don’t be ridiculous. Didn’t you see the interaction between the couple? It’s obvious that they had a quarrel,” Calvin said.
Moreover, Finley was Mrs. Turner now and had a reason to defend her husband.
Daphne was sensitive, but she failed to realize that.
