Chapter 99
Finley sneered, and her thin shoulders trembled slightly.
Then, she strode away.
“Come back!” Bryan shouted at Finley.
He didn’t think what he had said was wrong.
Finley was still too young to see through this dangerous society. Daphne set her up today, and tomorrow there would be more enemies.
When Finley stood side by side with Bryan, there would be more challenges and dangers.
Bryan hoped that Finley could learn her lesson and be capable to protect herself in the future. Finley shouldn’t be a flower in a greenhouse. She would become more excellent after the trials. Finley was too proud to listen to Bryan.
Finley regretted her attendance at this banquet tonight and her cooperation with Daphne.
What saddened her most was the reprimand from Bryan, her husband.
Andy came back from the store with a pack of tissue and a cup of warm milk. He remembered that Finley liked milk of this flavor.
When Andy came back, Finley had got into a car.
On the steps, Bryan watched Finley leave, and his eyes gradually turned cold.
Bryan turned his head, saw Andy, and then walked toward this young man.
The two men stood on the steps, looking down at each other with hostility in their eyes.
“Stay away from her,” Bryan opened his mouth first and warned Andy coldly.
Andy didn’t back off. “Why?”
“Because she’s Mrs. Turner.”
After that Bryan went straight down the stairs.
