Chapter 450 The Center of Everyone’s Attention
Paige wrote a few poems for him, each taking one page. Jason was so thrilled that he couldn’t bear to put the papers down. He read them over and over again.
“I want some, too!” Affected by Jason, Elena appreciated Perl’s handwriting as well.
Paige wrote a few more pages for Elena.
The papers were nothing fancy. They were just some ordinary A4 papers from the doctor. However, they looked extremely precious with Perl’s handwriting on them.
“Paige, your handwriting is so beautiful,” Elena praised as she admired Paige’s handwriting.
“Doesn’t she look beautiful?”
As soon as Lamont said so, Elena patted him. “Stop teasing. Of course, Paige looks beautiful. Only those blind fail to see how pretty she is.”
“Paige, draw something for me. Anything!” Jason loved Penrose’s drawings so much. He took some of the blank papers and wanted her to draw something.
“A single drawing of Paige is worth a lot. How can she draw something so casually?” Donald didn’t want Paige to be exhausted. “She’ll bring you her work when she goes to visit you after you’re discharged from the hospital.”
“A little something for now…” Holding the papers in his hand, Jason looked at Paige expectantly.
“Give Paige a break, OK? It’s so late now.” Donald looked at the time. It was almost one o’clock in the morning. “Enough for now. Go and get some rest. We’ll visit you another time.”
“You don’t have to be here. Paige can represent you.”
It never occurred to Donald that Jason would say so. After all, he was Jason’s son!
Paige took the papers, waved the pencil a few times casually, and drew a majestic sketch.
Jason didn’t expect her to be so good at drawing. It only took her a few minutes to finish a drawing. He kept praising, “Awesome! It looks great. I will frame it later.”
“This is nothing. I have seen Paige paint with sand.” Donald took out his phone and showed Jason Paige’s work he had taken before.
Paige herself did not know that she had painted with sand. It was not until she saw the photo on Donald’s phone that she remembered. Long ago, when she was on the phone at Larsen Villa, she kicked around in the sand with her foot, because she was bored.
At that time, the garden was being remodeled, and there was a pile of sand in the area. Unexpectedly, it became the “tool” she used.
And Donald took a photo of her incidental work.
“Send me this sand painting, and I’ll save it for my phone wallpaper.” Jason was surprised that sand could be used to paint as well, and Paige was so good at sand painting.
In fact, Paige could use a lot of things to draw, but no one knew, because those drawings she used a pencil to draw alone were eye-catching enough.
“Paige, we will be discharged in a few days. I must see you then,” Elena took Paige’s hand and said reluctantly.
“Don’t worry, Grandma. I will be there,” Paige said gently. “It’s getting late, and you and Grandpa should rest early.”
Elena glanced at Jason, who was still enjoying Paige’s sand painting.
Paige smiled and said to Elena, ”I will draw something for you later as well.”
Paige thought, I drew something for Grandpa but not Grandma. It’s getting late now, and I want them to get some rest as soon as possible.
“Thank you, Paige.” Elena was overjoyed. “After we are discharged from the hospital, come to our place and play the piano. We have a great piano.”
“Are you trying to exhaust Paige?” Lamont couldn’t help but smile. “Enough. Both of you, lie down. I’m about to tuck you in.”
Jason could only reluctantly put the papers into the bedside table’s drawer and then lay down.
Lamont tucked them in and instructed them a few more words, ready to leave.
