CEO's Mysterious Fiancee (Paige and Martin) novel Chapter 480

Chapter 480 Unraveling the Truth Layer by Layer

But the girl’s eyes were sincere. She nodded with a sincere attitude and emphasized, “We won’t hurt Yana.”

Because the place rented by Mr. Jacob was on the first floor, people passed by from time to time, and some people even looked at the yard.

“Let them in!” Leyna entered the house anxiously. Mr. Jacob had mixed feelings and finally followed her in.

Paige and Lamont looked at each other, as if to say, “They’ve agreed.”

Lamont closed the door in the courtyard and followed his sister into the house.

The living room was small, but it was clean and tidy everywhere.

“Sit wherever you like.”

Hearing Mr. Jacob’s words, Paige and Lamont sat on the sofa obediently, like two students.

Leyna went to the kitchen to get some water. Paige wanted to say that there was no need to bother, but judging from her worried expression, it was obvious that she was still thinking about what had just happened. Her attention was not on the kitchen, and she was absent–minded…

On the other hand, Mr. Jacob glanced at Paige and then at Lamont. “Brother and sister?”

The two of them nodded.

“Related by blood?”

They nodded in unison again.

“How long have you been dating Yana?” Nels then looked at Lamont and asked.

“One year,” Lamont answered truthfully. “One year later, she left me and I went to look for her for another year.”

Come to think of it, he and Yana had been together for two years.

Nels remembered that this young man did come to his house several times and asked about Yana’s whereabouts every time. Did Yana leave him at that time?

“Did you do something wrong to her?”

“No!”

Lamont was a little anxious. However, Paige explained gently, “It seems like Yana is involved in something dangerous and doesn’t want to involve my brother, so she pretended to break up with him.”

“Since you guessed that my daughter might be involved in something dangerous, why did you bring your sister with you?”

Nels knew that this matter was far from being as simple as it seemed. It was fine if Lamont came alone, but why did he bring his sister along? What if something happened?

Lamont wanted to say that his younger sister was not an ordinary person. It was all thanks to his younger sister that he could find this place…

Suddenly, she heard the sound of glass breaking coming from the kitchen.

Nels got up and trotted over immediately. “Leyna, what’s wrong?”

Paige and Lamont followed. They saw that Leyna had broken the glass and was squatting on the ground to pick up the fragments. Her finger had been accidentally cut open….

“Don’t move,” the three of them blurted out in unison.

Leyna was startled. She came back to her senses and was no longer as distracted as before.

“Come here. Slow down. I’ll deal with the fragments.” Nels stretched out his hand to her, afraid that his wife would step on the fragments on the ground.

Levna was dragged out of the kitchen by him, and Nels dealt with the mess.

Paige looked at her wound and asked softly, “Where’s the first aid kit? I’ll take care of it.”

“No need. I’ll just put on a band–aid.”
