CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1031

It was partly his fault. When Nina booked the room, he had not been clear enough with her, leading her to believe that they had reached the stage of sharing a bed.

Suppressing the frustration rising within him, Micah said softly, "You take the bed, I’ll sleep on the floor."

After all, he had survived the harsh conditions in the northern regions of their homeland. This was nothing in comparison. But Freya, who loved him deeply, could never let him sleep on the floor.

In a hoarse voice, Freya said, "Micah, you take the bed, I’ll sleep on the floor instead. Or maybe…"

Before she could finish her sentence, Micah interrupted sternly, "Did you not hear? It's peak tourist season. If you go out now, there’s no guarantee you’ll find another room. And you wandering off alone? How does that even make sense?"

Freya lowered her head, as she always did when she was around Micah. She never dared to raise her voice, always presenting the gentlest, best version of herself for him.

But to Micah, he preferred dealing with people who were more genuine. Freya seemed too cautious, too careful, though he did not call her out on it.

"Let’s not talk about this anymore. Go take a shower and change into some fresh clothes," he said quietly.

"Okay," Freya nodded obediently.

Unexpectedly, the water at the guesthouse got cut off.

With soap still covering her body, Freya found herself stuck in the bathroom, feeling helpless. "Micah, could you call the front desk and ask what’s going on? The water’s out," she called out.

There was no way she could step out covered in soap bubbles.

Micah was just as surprised, but he quickly dialed the front desk.

The receptionist apologized profusely, "I’m so sorry, sir. We have a backup water source, and someone’s on the way to switch it on. Just give us two minutes."

"Make it quick."
