CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1322

It was quite a coincidence.

They had parked their car in the underground garage and were just about to head out when they overheard Quincy’s voice from a distance.

He was speaking calmly, trying to reason with someone. “Yes, I did rear-end your car, and I’ve taken photos. Let’s handle it through insurance.”

“No way! You think I’m just gonna wait around for insurance? This is a luxury car. I want ten thousand in cash. Not a penny less!” The man was relentless, refusing to budge.

He even turned his attention to Tiffany, standing nearby, and sneered, “You two lovebirds in a hurry to get hitched or what? Are you blind? Can’t drive straight?”

“I’ll take responsibility, but please watch your language. There’s no need for personal attacks,” Quincy replied, barely keeping his anger in check.

Lydia stood nearby, feeling a wave of sympathy as she watched the scene unfold. It reminded her of when Quincy had first started his business, spending countless nights wining and dining potential clients to secure deals.

No matter how much he had to endure, he would always stay composed. Her mom had been wrong about one thing. Quincy had never viewed her as a stepping stone. If he had, he would have used his connections with her family rather than tirelessly wooing clients.

The man sneered, “You wrecked my car, and I can’t say a word? Like you and your wife are so high and mighty!”

“We’re not married,” Quincy corrected.

Quincy’s face hardened. “How much was on that card? I’ll pay you back.”

The whole situation left a bitter taste in Quincy’s mouth. He was ready to pay his dues, but Eugene’s interference made it look as if Quincy needed a handout, especially in front of Lydia.

It stung. No man would want to appear dependent in front of the woman he loved.

This was exactly what Eugene had intended. He looked Quincy up and down and sneered, “Don’t worry about it. He’s one of my employees. You’re just starting out. Better save your money where you can.”

Eugene leaned in close, giving Quincy a condescending pat on the shoulder. “And one more thing, don’t take a woman to eat street food. It’s embarrassing. You should try to have a bit more class.”
