CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1832

With about two hours left before the surgery, Karina focused intently on reviewing the patient’s information. She had never taken over a major surgery at the last minute before, and she didn’t want to waste a single second.

Wilfred didn’t remain idle either. Leaning forward slightly, he pointed to the patient file with a steady hand. “This patient has coronary artery disease, along with several other complications causing vascular blockages. When he arrived at the hospital, he had already lost consciousness.”

He continued in a calm, soothing tone, like the gentle flow of a stream. “Since the patient is over fifty, you’ll need to be particularly mindful during the procedure…”

His steady voice eased Karina’s anxiety, giving her a sense of calm she desperately needed.

When a knock at the door interrupted them, signaling it was time to head to the operating room, Karina felt more composed. Just as she stood, Wilfred rose with her.

“I’ll go with you,” he said. “Having me there to guide you will help you feel more at ease.”

Karina blinked in surprise.

Before she could respond, the door opened, and a male doctor entered. He paused when he saw Karina, a flicker of confusion crossing his face.

“Dr. Norman, are you here to see the director? My apologies, but there’s an urgent surgery that requires the director to operate personally.”

He turned to Wilfred, his tone urgent. “Time is tight, Dr. Wilfred. We need to go immediately, or we won’t make it.”

Wilfred gave a brief nod but then looked at Karina.

Karina felt her nerves creeping back in. It was one thing to speak confidently when it was just the two of them, but standing before others was a different matter entirely. Her earlier courage faltered.

But Wilfred didn’t hesitate. Pointing to Karina, he said firmly, “She’ll perform the surgery.”

His words left the male doctor stunned.
