CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 825

Mrs. Quintana said, "You must not be a local. Here, all sorts of powers coexist. Slavery is just one part of it. You should be thinking about how to survive."

Nina realized she was being treated like a slave. No wonder the compound was so large, and the people inside were so scared and silent. They had been beaten into submission. There was no way out for them.

After all, they were involved in illegal activities. They couldn't afford to let anyone leave.

Nina continued, "Is this Pharaoh's territory?"

Mrs. Quintana's face turned pale. "Girl, what business do you have asking about Pharaoh? Keep your mouth shut."

This confirmed Nina's suspicion. Pharaoh was someone they all feared.

"Have you seen Pharaoh?" Nina pressed.

Mrs. Quintana, now visibly shaken, replied, "No one in this compound has the chance to see Pharaoh. For your own safety, stop asking about him."

This confirmed it. This was indeed Pharaoh's territory. Nina had gambled and won, but she knew she was treading on dangerous ground. Coming here meant risking her life, and she wasn't sure if she could get out alive.

For now, she had control over Mrs. Quintana, but she couldn't stay like this forever. She needed a plan to deal with them.

"Mrs. Quintana, this sister was kind enough to help me. If you want to punish someone, punish me. Please don't make things difficult for her." The young girl suddenly knelt on the ground, begging Mrs. Quintana. She was grateful to Nina for stepping in and worried about what Mrs. Quintana might do to her.

Nina, aware of Mrs. Quintana's methods, knew she wouldn't let this go easily. "Mrs. Quintana, I'm not one of the slaves here. I was brought by a man named Wes. You must know Ivy, right?"

""Ivy?" Mrs. Quintana asked, half-believing, "The young lady who was found after being lost for many years? How are you connected to her?"

"Who knows? Since I'm here now, I'm not expecting to leave. I just hope you won't hold a grudge. I'm someone Miss Ivy wants. Surely you won't kill me and ruin her plans, right?" Nina guessed that Ivy had put her here to torment her.
