Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1016

"Is that so? Did he tell you that?" Theodore questioned Rosalie back with a sardonic look, as if mocking her for being naive.

Rosalie nodded. "Yes."

"Rose, are you still going to believe him now? He clearly has a guilty conscience and is looking for an excuse to flee. Otherwise, why would he choose today of all days to flee when I was ready to give the evidence to the police? How could such a huge coincidence be possible?"

"I find it a huge coincidence too," Rosalie said. "But how would Sebastian know that you have the video? The footage clearly shows that he thought he destroyed all the surveillance cameras in the villa. How would he know you had a pinhole camera? Had he known, he would have fled earlier. Why did he wait till today?"

"I want to know the answer to that, too. Why did he find out today, of all days?"

Theodore was fuming. He unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt, his chest heaving and almost panting due to his anger.

"Someone must have tipped him off. For all I know, he planted a spy around me."

"Theo, Seb…"

"Are you going to tell me that he won't do that?"

Theodore pointed at the laptop.

"Just look at what he did in the video! He refused to admit it and lied to you, saying that he brought his bodyguards just for protection when in fact, he wanted to kill me. You saw it clearly for yourself. There's concrete proof. Are you still going to trust him?"

Rosalie was at a loss for words, and didn't know what to say. She didn't expect things to become like this.

Theodore rested his throbbing forehead in his palm, and sighed.

She didn't deliberately hide the fact that Sebastian had gone back home from Theodore. Even if she had said so a few minutes ago, it wouldn't have changed the fact that Sebastian had left.

Theodore was beyond exhausted. "This is it. There's no point pursuing this further."

This opportunity to punish Sebastian was so rare to come by, but he had to flee and waste all of Theodore's efforts.

"He's a lucky bastard, surviving one ordeal after another. The heavens are really helping him. No one can fight against that."

"Theo. Whether it was a coincidence that Seb went back and avoided this, or if he planted a spy by your side, the most important thing is now that he's gone, what do you plan on doing next?"

"What do you want me to do next? Give up?" Theodore asked.
