Aurora locked her bedroom door, then returned to her bed and began swiping on her phone. After confirming multiple times that everything was in order, she dialed Theodore's number.

"It's late. What's the matter?" Theodore asked.

"Theo, could you come pick me up? I have something very important to tell you."

"Just tell me over the phone."

"No, this is important. I have to tell you in person. Please come pick me up—I'm begging you! It's about Grandma."

Theodore paused for a moment, then said, "Alright, I'm on my way."

Less than an hour later, Theodore's car arrived at Aurora's apartment complex.

Aurora had already changed clothes. When she received Theodore's call, she quietly slipped out of the house and hurried downstairs.

Theodore was leaning against the car hood, waiting for her. When he saw her approach, he asked coldly, "What's so urgent this late at night?"

"Let's get in the car and leave here first," Aurora said as she opened the front passenger door and got in the car.

Theodore frowned but didn't say much. He got into the driver's seat and started the car.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"Theo, drive us away from here first. I have something critical to tell you."

Theodore drove off, taking Aurora away from the area.

After driving for about ten minutes, Aurora said, "Theo, stop here. This is far enough."

"For some time, I've felt that Angie was acting weird, so I tricked her into confessing. To reassure her, I told her we were family, and no matter what she did, I wouldn't expose her because it might implicate me too. That's when Angie finally admitted the truth—she was the one who killed Grandma."

Theodore grabbed Aurora's shoulders, his emotions surging. "Why would she kill Grandma? Why?!"

"This all started when Grandma fell down the stairs. Angie is my cousin, and she doesn't like Rosalie. She constantly spoke ill of Rosalie to me to gain my favor. I told her so many times to stop, but she wouldn't listen. You know how vile her words can be.

"That night, I was in the bathroom. Angie stood outside the door, ranting about Rosalie. I didn't bother responding. Then, suddenly, it went quiet outside. When I came out of the bathroom, Angie wasn't in the room anymore.

"Shortly after, I heard noises outside. When I went to check, I saw that Grandma had fallen down the stairs, and Angie was standing next to her."

"I didn't know what had happened at the time. Angie told me she had come out after hearing a noise and found Grandma had fallen. I believed her then. But now, I know she was lying. She pushed Grandma down the stairs after realizing Grandma had overheard her saying awful things. Afraid her words would be exposed, she panicked and acted rashly."

"Later, when Grandma didn't die, Angie became desperate. Somehow, she got her hands on a drug and used it to kill Grandma."
