Aurora looked incredibly sorrowful, completely unlike someone who was acting. Theodore, for a moment, didn't know whether he should believe her or not.
When Rosalie had first told him, he had only defended Aurora, completely ignoring Angie.
Now, with Aurora telling him that it was Angie who killed Rebecca, Theodore couldn't be 100% certain that Aurora was not involved in this matter.
It felt like a layer of mist had been added, blurring his vision and preventing him from seeing clearly.
After a long while, Theodore released Aurora.
"Get better first," he said, turning to leave.
Suddenly, he heard some movement behind him. Turning around, he saw Aurora stumbling toward the window in the ward. She forcefully pulled open the window and jumped straight down.
Theodore's brows tightened, and with rocket-like speed, he rushed forward. He grabbed her from behind and pulled her back from the window ledge. "What are you doing?!"
"Theo, let me die! I don't want to live anymore. Just pretend I killed your grandmother. I'm responsible for this, so let me die. I really… I can't live with this guilt anymore!"
"Aurora, don't do this!" Theodore pressed her down onto the bed.
"Theo, I know how important Grandma was to you, but I can't turn back time. Even if I didn't do it, Angie is related to me. You must hate me. I'd rather die than be hated by you!"
"Aurora, are you crazy?" Theodore pressed her down firmly. "If you didn't do it, why would I hate you? Or do you feel guilty and are trying to gain my sympathy by doing this?"
"I'm not. I just can't live with the guilt. I'm sorry. If my actions make you think I feel guilty, then from now on, I'll do nothing. You can investigate, and if this is really related to me, I'll face it openly."
Aurora seemed to understand the situation well and knew how to change her approach at any moment.
Theodore released her. "Stop trying to kill yourself. If you keep doing this, I won't care about you anymore."
His patience was limited.
"I'll get to the bottom of this. As for Angie, I won't believe everything she says. I know what kind of person she is, but I'll investigate you too."

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
