Theodore arrived at the lobby of Rosalie's apartment, but had no courage to head up. He paced up and down the lobby for a long time, unable to muster up the courage to see Rosalie.

Theodore hurried over, but Rosalie quickly shut the doors of the elevator. He had no choice but to wait for another one to come.

After a while, he finally arrived outside Rosalie's apartment. She was already inside and had locked the door.

He pressed the doorbell many times. "Rose, open up. I have something very important to tell you!"

"What do you have to say? Are you going to question me about Aurora?"

"No, I'm not here to question you. I'm here to apologize to you. Rose, open the door."

"I don't need an apology from you. Theo, go back and lead your own life. Aurora was very good at acting and fooled everyone. Now that her true colors are shown, let's just put this past us and move on."

The door flew open and Rosalie, her face filled with shock, emerged from inside. "What did you say?!"

Theodore said in a panicked voice, "Some gunman from nowhere emerged and shot Mom. She's alive, but in a coma in the intensive care unit. No one knows when she will wake up. That's why I came looking for you. I was worried that something might happen to you. The gunman might be targeting our family. Let me protect you, please?"

"Why didn't you tell me earlier that Mom was injured?" Rosalie yelled furiously.

"I'm sorry. Everything happened in a blur."

"Which hospital is she in? I want to go see her!"

"Rose, Mom is in the intensive care unit and visitors aren't allowed. Someone is there with her and you can go visit her when she gets better. It's also very late right now."

"How do you intend to deal with Aurora? She's pregnant with your child. Even if she receives the death sentence, it'll only happen after she gives birth," Rosalie said.
