Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1283

Justin called Rosalie's phone, only to find it switched off.

His brows knitted tighter as a sense of foreboding washed over him.

She was in contact with the police just a moment ago. Why was her phone switched off now? He couldn't believe that Rosalie would go out and leave her child alone at home. She wouldn't be that careless.

The baby's cries were becoming louder and louder, as if something had happened.

Justin was very anxious, but he still didn't know the passcode to the door.

However, he had to enter the apartment, by hook or by crook.

Justin looked around to check that no one was around before pulling out his gun. He attached a silencer, aimed the muzzle at the door lock, and shot it twice.

The lock was destroyed, and Justin managed to open the door. Before he even stepped in, he saw Steve sprawled on the floor, crying hysterically.

Justin rushed forward, and suddenly, an electric net fell from the ceiling.

Quick as lightning, Justin tumbled on the floor and avoided the net.

When the net landed on the floor, Justin could see sparks of electricity running across the net. Had he come into contact with it, he would have fainted from the electric shock.

Justin looked around. It seemed Rosalie had installed a very comprehensive security system in the house for safety. When the door lock was compromised, the system would automatically assume the presence of intruders and trigger the electric net.

Anyone else would have fallen prey to it.

Justin didn't have time to think any further. He immediately picked Steve up from the floor and stepped away from the electric net.

"Stevie, where is your mama? Where did she go?"

"Mama…go…Mama…" Steve called out for his mom through sobs.

Justin was worried that other people might hear Steve's cries and carried him to the room to calm him down. "Don't cry, I'm here."
