Chapter 135
Theodore remained uncontactable over the next two days. Thankfully, Rosalie took the resident register from Rebecca on Friday and
managed to lie to her that she hadn’t had the time to replace her ID card.
The next two days were the weekends. She could tell Rebecca that the office was closed, and thus she couldn’t get her ID card replaced
yet.
Rosalie tried every way to get in contact with Theodore over these two days, but all her efforts were in vain. She called him countless times, but his phone remained resolutely switched off. She couldn’t imagine how far his relationship with Cynthia had progressed, to the point of them breaking contact with the rest of the world.
Left with no choice, Rosalie couldn’t only wait in anxiety and
heartbreak.
Monday came by, and Rebecca called her first thing in the morning. She cut straight to the chase.
“Rose, get your ID card replaced today and return the resident register to me this afternoon. Don’t drag this any longer.”
Rebecca spoke solemnly, as if worried that something might happen with the resident register in Rosalie’s hands.
Rosalie had just woken up, and was still in a daze. “Grandma, why are you rushing me?”
“I have to rush you. You’re so young, so why are you so slow in doing things? You should have gotten your ID card replaced on Friday
instead of dragging things out like this. If you delay any further, I’ll help you replace your ID card myself.”
Rosalie jolted up from bed. “ay, Grandma, I got it. I’ll get my ID card. replaced today.”
Rebecca was going to get suspicious if she continued delaying.
matters. She was a smart woman, after all.
“Quick, get it done soon and send the resident register back before five in the evening, got it?”
“Yes, Grandma
All of Rosalie’s little tricks were rendered useless before Rebecca,
and she could only agree obediently.
After ending the call, Rosalie texted Theodore again. “Did you see my text?! Grandma wants the resident register back. Reply to me, please!”
She had no idea how many text messages she had sent Theodore
over the past few days.
After getting out of bed and washing up, Rosalie received a call right after breakfast. She thought it must be Theodore and rushed over to answer the call, but it was Sebastian.
She couldn’t help but feel disappointed, but she answered the call anyway. “Hello.”
“Rosalie, do you feel better?”
“Yes, I do. What’s up?”
“Did you forget that you owe me a meal? Do you have time this
afternoon?”
“This afternoon,
“Is it inconvenient?”
“Oh, I ”

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
