Rosalie squeezed her eyes shut, pretending she hadn't heard a thing. Yet, every single word Sebastian uttered reached her ears with piercing clarity.
Everything he said was true, but at this moment, each word felt like a blade slicing through her heart.
He had killed Justin, the love of her life. He had stripped her of her happiness and raped her.
She hated him to the core. No matter how well he had treated her in the past, it could never erase her hatred.
"Rose, I know you hate me, but I had no other choice. I was so patient with you, even after we got married. You rejected me time and again, and yet I never forced myself on you. I was a gentleman to you, but what did I get in return? The moment we divorced, you fell in love with Justin."
Sebastian let out a bitter laugh. "Since that's the case, why should I bother being a gentleman anymore? I might as well be a complete devil. At least that way, I can have you."
His fingers trailed from her shoulder down her arm, finally intertwining with her fingers. "Now that I finally have you, I can say that I have no regrets."
He lay beside her, holding her close, his breath warm against her skin.
"Do you know how much torment I've endured? I was willing to give up everything just to have you. I love you so much, yet I can't understand—why don't you love me? What do those men have that I don't? Theodore betrayed you and fooled around with other women. Justin was a ruthless killer, cold-blooded and merciless. But me? I loved you wholeheartedly. I stayed pure. Why is it that you still won't love me?"
Sebastian couldn't comprehend it. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't.
Burying his face in the crook of her neck, he whispered, "I really don't understand. Can't you love me? I'm begging you—just love me. If you love me, I'll do anything you want."
Rosalie said nothing. She clenched her teeth tightly, not wanting to argue with him.
She hadn't loved him in the past, she didn't love him now, and she never would in the future. Not in this life, nor the next, nor for all eternity.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
