Chapter 163
During lunchtime, Rebecca invited both Wesley and Sydney to join them.
Rosalie thought it would just be a family lunch, but she didn’t expect Cynthia to show up as well. She had a faint feeling of what Rebecca meant by not letting her be mistreated for nothing.
She worried that Rebecca might reprimand Cynthia here, which would worsen Rebecca’s relationship with Theo if he found out.
She tried to persuade Rebecca not to do so, but the latter reassured her and told her not to worry, because she wouldn’t lose her temper at the dining table.
Rosalie couldn’t disobey Rebecca. Either way, Cynthia had already been called, and it was too late to do anything about it.
The five of them sat at the table, the atmosphere unusually quiet. Wesley kept staring at Sydney, but Sydney just ignored him and ate her food as if no one else were around.
Rosalie looked at Rebecca with confusion.
Rebecca smiled at Cynthia. “Ms. Zeller. This is our first formal meeting, isn’t it?”
Although Rebecca was smiling, her smile carried powerful dignity. Cynthia felt uneasy, and tried her best to portray the image of an elegant lady.
“Yes, ma’am. I’m very pleased to meet you today. Thank you for inviting me,” Cynthia said.
When she received the call, she was somewhat incredulous and thought someone was pulling her leg. But Rebecca had personally

called her, inviting her to lunch and even sending someone to pick her up, saying she wanted to meet her.
This was Theodore’s grandmother. Cynthia knew she would have to pass this test once she married Theodore. So she came here, hoping to win Rebecca’s favor.
Rebecca had some prejudices against Cynthia, since they hadn’t met before. Cynthia believed that as long as she tried hard to please Rebecca, the old lady would change her opinion of her. Even a poor girl like Rosalie could please Rebecca, so she couldn’t afford to lose. Should her attempts to please fail, she had a backup plan.
“You don’t need to be so polite with me. After all, you and Theo are so close. I should have invited you earlier. Otherwise, he would continue to hide you from me, and that wouldn’t be good.”
Rebecca spoke calmly, but the atmosphere was odd.
“Mom,” Sydney said, “I don’t think Theo’s been hiding Ms. Zeller at all. He often takes her out for meals, brings her to the company, and even goes on dates with her. He’ll probably have to take her to public events and give her the title of Mrs. Spencer afterward, right?”
Wesley interrupted, “Theo hasn’t divorced yet. How can someone else be called Mrs. Spencer?”
“It’s going to happen soon, right? After all, Ms. Zeller has come to the house, just like what you did before in the past,” Sydney said nonchalantly, never lifting her head to look at her husband.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
