A genius was indeed worlds apart from her.
She only managed to graduate from University when she was twenty-one, while he was studying for his Ph.D. at the age of 18.
Sometimes, there really was no point comparing between different people. It would only be depressing.
She felt as though she was looking at Theodore when he was 18 years old. He was incredibly smart at that age, too.
However, he wasn’t as warm or sweet as Yerick.
When Theodore was 18, he was very stern and hardly smiled. He wasn’t like his peers, who were bright and lively. He took everything seriously, and was careful and meticulous in all he did. In turn, he was also more mature and had a stronger sense of responsibility compared to them.
When he realized that Rosalie was in a daze, Yerick raised a hand and waved it in front of her eyes.
“Hey, what’s the matter?”
“Huh?” Rosalie snapped back to reality. “Nothing, I just suddenly feel a little hungry.”
“You’re hungry? What a coincidence, me too. I know an Italian restaurant nearby that’s excellent. Do you want to join me for a meal?”
Rosalie nodded. “Sure, but don’t you need to go home? Are your family members waiting for you at home?”
“Nah, my parents aren’t at home. They’re away on a business trip, and I’m all alone. I eat outside every day.”
“Okay, then” Rosalie said. “I’ll treat you to dinner.”
“No need,” Yerick said with a wave of his hand, his innocent expression capable of melting hearts. “How could I let you buy me a meal? I should be the one treating you instead. Please hang on, I’ll check if I have enough money.”
Yerick unzipped his bag, and pulled out a wad of cash. The notes were all crumpled up—he even had a bunch of coins, that he started counting.
“30, 40, 41, 42…”
She looked around and didn’t see anyone, either. There were a few passers-by, but none of them were Yerick.
Just then, she spotted a note on the bench.
She walked forward, and picked up the note.
“I’m sorry, miss. I received a call about a problem that cropped up with my project, and I have to make a trip to the lab. Please go ahead and eat. Don’t miss a meal just because I’m not there. Make sure to eat your fill! The food at the Italian restaurant is excellent. Walk out of the gate and turn left. Then walk 150 meters, and you’ll reach the restaurant.”
Rosalie sighed.
He was only 18 years old, but he was already so busy. He would probably contribute greatly to society in the future. She, on the other hand, was almost 22, and still wallowing in her misery over a failed relationship.
Rosalie pulled out the note Yerick wrote to her from her pocket, which had his social media account handle scribbled on.
She pulled her phone out, and added him on social media.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
