Chapter 43
After a short while, the call connected.
“Hello.
With Rebecca nearby, Rosalie couldn’t afford to sound too distant when talking to Theodore.
So, she had to warmly say, “Honey, it’s me.”
Hearing Rosalie’s tone, Theodore frowned, feeling a bit puzzled. What’s up?”
“When are you coming to Grandma’s place?”
Theodore glanced at his watch. “I’ll come later.”
“Can you come earlier?”
“Why the rush? It’s still early.”
“I just want you to come earlier and spend more time with Grandma.
“Is that Grandma’s request?”
Rosalie responded with a hum.
“In that case, you can tell her I’ll come later.”
“But…”
“Have you forgotten what you said earlier? You’ve been patient with me for a long time. It’ll be more comfortable for you if I come later, so you won’t have trouble eating.”
After saying that, Theodore abruptly hung up, as though sulking and holding her to her words.
Rosalie had only said those things because she had no other choice,

afraid Theodore would find out she was pregnant. She hadn’t expected him to use it against her.
“What did he say?” Rebecca asked curiously.
Rosalie forced a smile. “He said he’ll try to come as soon as possible.”
“That child…” Rebecca sighed.
Seeing that Rebecca looked tired, Rosalie said, “Grandma, let me help you back to your room so you can rest for a while.”
“Okay.”
They would all need some energy for dinner later, so it was wise to
rest beforehand.
After escorting Rebecca back to her room and tucking her in, Rosalie left. At the door, she immediately took out her phone and sent a text
message.
[I hope that our issues won’t affect Grandma. She really wants to see. you, so please don’t let your feelings towards me affect her. I have already assured her that you–will come as soon as possible. Whatever you feel about me, it’s up to you to handle.]
Theodore didn’t reply to her message. However, he arrived at the manor less than an hour later to find Rosalie busy knitting a scarf.
Rebecca liked to knit when she was bored, and she would often teach
Rosalie. So, she would sometimes continue knitting the old woman’s projects on her behalf.
Rosalie was knitting so intently that she didn’t notice Theodore’s arrival until the tall man sat down next to her, startling her. One of the knitting needles pierced her finger, and though it had a rounded tip and normally wouldn’t cause much pain even if one was pricked, Rosalie had been startled so badly that she had jabbed her finger a little too forcefully.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
