“Why do you think I wouldn’t agree?” Theodore asked.
“It’s not that I think you wouldn’t agree. It’s that I don’t know if you would, so I wanted to ask you privately,” Rosalie explained.
“You’re very cautious. Can I take this to mean you care about my feelings? Otherwise, you could have just said that since she’s my grandmother, it’s my responsibility to fulfill her wish.”
“Don’t misunderstand. It has nothing to do with caring about your feelings. I just think it’s a matter of courtesy. We’re divorced, and things aren’t the same as before. Besides, visiting your grandmother is a responsibility, but you’re not obligated to fulfill her competitive desires. You can refuse, and that doesn’t make you a bad grandson,” she retorted calmly.
“So, you think Grandma shouldn’t compare us to others?”
“It doesn't matter. It has already happened. I understand her feelings, so if I have the ability to fulfill her wish, I’m willing to do it.”
“Aren’t you afraid that she might demand more in the future?”
“No matter what she demands, the most she can do is make us meet. As long as we both know how we feel, then it doesn't matter.”
The real meaning behind her words was heavier than they sounded. The last sentence was often heard between lovers, implying that their mutual knowledge of their love was enough regardless of others' opinions.
But now, coming from Rosalie, it meant the opposite—that their relationship was beyond repair.
Their courtesy with each other was just for Rebecca's sake, like a rug covering a messy floor. Lifting it would reveal the mess, and things might even get worse.
“Yes, we both know how we feel,” Theodore said with a tone full of regret and resignation.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
