“Rose.”
Theodore turned around, and looked at her.
“I’m just so sad. You’re so near to me right now, but I know that I’ve lost you and we can never go back to what we were in the past. I really…really miss you.”
Theodore looked down, despondent. “Do you know? On your birthday, I was drinking at Caleb’s place. You came over, and I thought he was bullying you, so I hit him.”
Rosalie nodded. “I remember that. You took me as Cynthia.”
That memory still made her slightly upset and very uncomfortable. She remembered feeling disappointed and miserable at that time.
Theodore smiled bitterly. “I knew it was you. I didn’t mistake you for Cynthia. I deliberately called her name.”
“What did you say?” Rosalie said, shocked.
Theodore inhaled sharply.
“After asking for a divorce, I felt terrible, which is why I kept drinking. I couldn’t tell you about it because at that time, you treated me as a brother and you were happy when I brought up divorce. I didn’t expect you to be at Caleb’s place to witness me at my most miserable state. I couldn’t let you see how much pain I was in. I wanted you to divorce me without feeling guilty, which was why I mentioned Cynthia.”
Rosalie didn’t know what to say. She understood how conflicted he must have felt at that time. “Theo, that’s all in the past. There’s no point talking about it now.”
Rosalie sighed. “Let’s not talk about those things, shall we? They don’t matter anymore.”
“They don’t to you, but they do to me. I know I shouldn’t be thinking about them and it’s pointless doing so, but I can’t control myself. Rose, I’m suffocating. I’ve asked myself so many times—why I didn’t ask you if you loved me before I asked for a divorce?”
Theodore grabbed her shoulders. “Rose, how would you answer me if I had asked you whether you loved me before I demanded our divorce?”
Rosalie’s eyes teared up.
With a bitter smile, she said, “Whether I love you or not, that question is meaningless. We shouldn’t harp on this issue any longer, it’s exhausting. Plus, we can’t just have love in our lives. There are other things more important than love. I trust that, even without me, you can lead a good life and walk out of the pain slowly.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
