When the servant pushed a door open, Rosalie was shocked to see someone kneeling on the ground.
It was Laila!
Laila was tied up with a rope and severely injured, but she was still alive. The moment she saw Rosalie, she screamed in agitation, “Rose, save me! Save me!”
The servant said, clearly frightened, “Mrs. Carter, there was a note found on her.”
The servant handed the note to Rosalie.
Rosalie saw the words written on it. ‘A gift for you.’
“Mrs. Carter, should we call the police?”
“No need. Leave us.”
There was no point calling the police. Whoever did this vanished without a trace after blatantly throwing Laila here, and no one found him out.
“Rose, what’s going on?” Yvonne asked.
“She’s my aunt. I’m bringing her to the hospital,” Rosalie said.
She had to figure out what was going on.
Was Laila telling the truth? Was she really adopted by her parents?
If so, who were her biological parents?
“Alright. I’ll drive you two there.”
Yvonne had to stay by Rosalie’s side, or she wouldn’t feel safe.

Rosalie and Laila went to the hospital and did a DNA test.
They had to wait for seven days for the result.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
