"Rose, what happened to the baby? What's wrong?" Sydney asked.
"Mom, the doctor said my cervix is weakened, so I need to undergo a cervical cerclage procedure."
Sydney sounded somewhat angry. "You should have told me about such a serious matter earlier!"
"I only found out today, and you weren’t answering my calls."
Sydney sighed all of a sudden. "You said the surgery is the day after tomorrow, right?"
"Yes, it’s the day after tomorrow. Can you tell me where Theo is?" Rosalie was on the verge of crying again as she spoke.
Sydney replied, "Rose, I wasn’t answering your calls because I knew you would ask about Theo. I couldn’t lie to you and say I didn’t know."
"Mom, so you do know how Theo is now? Is he alive or dead? Please, tell me."
Sydney was silent for a long time, seeming hesitant, but Rosalie’s anxious voice made her relent.
"He’s still alive, but his injuries are serious. He barely survived. The doctor said that when he was brought to the hospital, he had an arrow lodged in his chest, piercing through from the front to the back."
Rosalie covered her mouth, almost crying out loud. She could imagine the scene vividly.
She had dreamed that Theodore was wounded in the chest, bleeding heavily. It turned out that all of it was true.
Rosalie could barely stand. She took a deep breath, and wiped away her tears.
"I went to look for him at that time, but Theo was gone. I saw blood on the ground. Did you all rescue him?"
Sydney replied, "We received a call from the hospital and went there. By then, he was already at the hospital. We don’t know who brought him there."

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
