"My name is Aurora Payne," she replied.
"I'm Theodore Spencer. Nice to meet you, Ms. Payne." His tone was no longer as cold as before.
Aurora nodded. "Nice to meet you. I know you're Theodore Spencer. I recognized you when I was saving you. I've seen you on TV. You're the CEO of SK Enterprise."
Theodore gave her a helpless smile. "So what if I'm the CEO of SK Enterprise?"
Hearing the dejection in his tone, Aurora thought about him climbing the window ledge earlier.
She quickly said, "I don't know what's going on, but whatever it is, I believe it can be resolved. You're so capable, you don't need to—"
She wanted to say that he didn't need to resort to extreme measures, but Theodore himself didn't acknowledge it, so saying it would seem like she was overstepping.
After all, they weren't close to each other. Even though she saved his life, she couldn't just speak her mind freely.
"Some problems cannot be solved by being capable. Moreover, you misunderstood. I'm not capable."
Theodore sat back down by the bed, his gaze devoid of any shine. "I'm a very flawed man. I can't even make the woman I love stay. What use am I?"
"The woman…you love?"
Hearing this, Aurora felt a deep sense of loss. Theodore had always kept a low profile, and the rare glimpses she saw of him on TV were always related to business. She didn't know much about his personal life. Did his heart already belong to a woman?
What kind of woman could make such a man feel this way? Was she a queen, a princess, or a fairy? How could she make him feel so dejected?
"Mr. Spencer, please don't say that." Although Aurora had been a bit upset with him earlier, her heart softened. "Everyone goes through low points in their lives. I believe you'll get through this. Any problem in this world can be solved. Just give yourself some time. You mustn't belittle yourself."
Theodore lifted his head and managed a faint smile. "Thank you for your kind words, but this hurdle is a cliff. I can't get past it."
"If you can't get past it, why not go around it?" Aurora asked. "There are many roads you can choose. You don't have to stick to one you can't pass. If the road ahead is a cliff, why force yourself to cross it? Some paths simply can't be crossed. It's not our fault."
Theodore lowered his gaze, deeply dejected. "It's my fault. I created the cliff. I deserve not to be able to cross it."
"No cliff is created by a person alone," Aurora said.
She moved closer. Seeing Theodore's distress made her feel upset as well.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
