Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 802

Theodore knew what happened between Sebastian and Rosalie.

At the very least, that man genuinely treated Rosalie well. He was by her side and cared for her when she needed it the most.

But what did Sebastian do for Sydney?

Mothers would generally protect their own children, but why was his own mother like this?

Theodore never expected his own mother to protect him.

Ever since he was young, he had solved his own problems all by himself. He never expected to receive care and help from his parents.

Did she have to make things so obvious? Even calling Sebastian by his nickname?

He could accept his mother defending Rosalie.

What he couldn't tolerate was his mother calling Sebastian's name so tenderly, when he did nothing for her.

Theodore wondered if he was being petty, or if this world was truly unfair toward him. Why was everyone, including his own mother, taking Sebastian's side?

Sydney's innocent calling of Sebastian's nickname was enough to tear Theodore's heart into two.

Sydney was stunned. Guilt and remorse filled her heart.

She lowered her head and remained silent for a long time, unsure of what to say at that moment.

Sebastian was her biological son whom she had missed out on 20 years of time with. She had thought that her child was dead a long time ago.

Yet now, she suddenly found out that he was still alive, and had even been the target of her accusations and insults.

Before, she did everything for Theodore's sake; but now that she knew that both of them were her sons, she couldn't bring herself to choose between them.

She had instinctively referred to Sebastian by his nickname, and she didn't even realize it.

It was only when Theodore asked her about it that she realized she had unintentionally hurt Theodore.

Yet, all Sydney could do was to suppress the pain and pretend that nothing was wrong.

"Theo, you think too much. I just casually referred to him as that, it's no big deal. I don't even know Sebastian very well. Don't overthink things."

"Overthink things?" Theodore could sense Sydney was trying to skirt around the issue.

Why was he always so distrusting of others?

He was always accused of overthinking things.
