Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 821

Aurora couldn't believe it. She felt as if she was looking into a mirror; only with the comparison did she realize how much she resembled Rosalie.

"How can this be? How is this possible?"

Suddenly, Aurora became aware of something. She turned to stare in shock at the man before her.

"Did you find me because I look like Theodore's ex-wife? Is this all part of your plan?" A strong sense of unease surged within her. "Who exactly are you?"

"I'm someone who wants to help Theodore, but I also want to help you. Tell me, do you love him?" Yerick looked at her with a half-smile.

Aurora felt a bit nervous. "I… I've only known him for a short time. How could I possibly…"

"You love him." Yerick interrupted her, seemingly able to see through everything. "Don't avoid your own feelings. Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. I just don't want to see Theodore get hurt anymore. You saw it when you tried to save him; he nearly died. All of this is because of his ex-wife and her current husband."

Yerick's expression grew serious, and his gaze was sharp.

"Since you know this, why didn't you save him? Why did you let me do it? If you don't give me a reason, why should I trust you?" Aurora asked.

"Because even if I saved him, he would go back to his ex-wife, risking his life for her again and again, getting hurt each time," Yerick said sorrowfully.

He stood up.

"Do you know why I cut ties with him? Because I stopped him every time he went to see his ex-wife. I could have saved him the day you rescued him, but even if I did, he would still repeat this cycle. It would only be a temporary fix. That's why I sought you out."

Yerick leaned closer to her.

"Of course. I need to ensure his safety."

"Who exactly are you?"

"Do you still not believe me? Are you afraid I want to harm Theodore?"

Yerick then added calmly, "Think about it. If I wanted to harm him, why would I send you to save him? Why would I go through such lengths? Everything I'm doing is to save him. I want to address the root of the problem and not just the symptoms, so it requires some painful measures.

"Miss Payne, I won't force you. If you don't want to help him, then this will be our first and last meeting. I won't come looking for you again. But if you want to help him, we must work together.

"So, what do you say, Miss Payne?"
