No matter how bad or how dastardly the man got, the woman would never fail to make excuses and find reasons for him, shifting the blame on the woman instead.
Whatever it was, the man was never at fault. Even if he was, he would have his reasons for doing so against his will.
This was the behavior of the legendary perfect woman.
Such expectations never died despite the advancement of society. It merely became more covert and hidden.
Aurora enjoyed Theodore's dominance. She felt protected being by the side of a man like him.
He shone as bright as the stars in the night sky. As her only male lead of her life, she looked up to him.
Slowly, Aurora shut her eyes, looking as though she had fallen asleep.
Theodore kept her in his arms for a while, his gaze heavy. He sighed softly as fatigue washed over him, feeling as though his soul had been all sucked out of him.
How did things turn out like this?
Theodore carefully released Aurora. He was about to leave the bed when Aurora suddenly woke up and hugged him again.
"Theo, where are you going? Are you going again? You're leaving me, aren't you?!"
"Aurora, I'm not leaving."
"You are leaving! You're leaving, right?" Aurora said through her tears. "I knew I couldn't sleep. Once I did, I wouldn't be able to see you. Theo, I'm not sleeping. Let me look at you a little longer, please?"
"Aurora, I'm going to take a shower. It's been a hectic few days, and I haven't had a chance to wash myself up properly."
"Shower? Oh, I see." Aurora chuckled. "I'm sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you were leaving. Sorry."
Aurora released him obediently. "Go shower, then. I won't stop you. Sorry, Theo."
Theodore caressed her head dotingly and stood up.
Instead of immediately heading to the washroom, he crouched down and picked up the pills on the floor before putting them back into the bottle.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
