As I slowly opened my eyes, the beeping of the monitor beside me was all I could hear.

I looked around  in total confusion till everything came rushing back to me.

I had heard The voices again and had lost consciousness.

“Fuck!” I cursed out loudly when I remembered the look that had been on Delilah’s just before my eyes closed.

Just then, Delilah barged into the room with a frantic look in her eyes. As soon as she saw me, she ran towards the bed and practically threw herself at me.

“Oh goddess! I was so worried” She uttered and my eyes widened when she suddenly started crying on my shoulders.

I pulled away slightly just to stare at her face.

“Why are you crying? I'm okay” I murmured softly and from the corner of my eye, I saw Damon, Clara and Dimitri walk into the room but I didn't take my eyes off the beautiful woman in front of me who was crying once again because of me.

“You have been unconscious for over a month now. I thought, I thought…” She trailed Off, not being able to complete her sentence but by the pained look on her face told me all that needed to be sold.

I reached out And flicked her forehead softly and she let out a small gasp.

“Ow! Why did you do that?” She questioned with a small frown playing on her lips and I chuckled.

“Silly you. There's no way I'll ever die while you're still alive. You're my lifeline so as long as you're alive, I'm alive, okay?” I told her and she stared at me for a while before she narrowed her eyes at me.

“Damon told me everything and I'm so fucking mad that you lied at me but I'll deal with you later. I'm going to meet with those witches” She uttered and was about to get up from the bed when I pulled her back.

“Hold on tiger, it's not safe. They can hurt you” I told her and she scoffed.

“I'd like to see them try but I can guarantee you that they aren't getting past me” She retorted and I sighed knowing how stubborn she was.

“Can you all help me out here? Clara?” I called out with a pleading look as I stared at Clara who had a frown on her face.

“Don't look at me, I'm with Delilah on this. Since you two grown men couldn't handle a group of women, maybe we women can handle them” Clara replied earning a light growl from Damon.

“It's not like I couldn't handle them…”

“You couldn't handle them” Clara repeated and I could have sworn I heard him or his wolf whimper.

“I couldn't handle them” He Repeated, agreeing to words and despite the severity of the situation,  I found myself smiling.

Damon might be the big bad Alpha but when it came to Clara, he was submissive and it was sure as hell a sight to see.
