Chapter 595 Time To Retaliate
Emrys glanced at him silently.
Although Halvard was an accomplice, his crime was not severe enough to warrant death. Therefore, Emys didn’t bother to take his life.
After a moment of deep thought, Emrys instructed, “Go now and tell Bernard that it was I who killed his son. If he has any objections, let him come to the Langford residence. I’ll be waiting.”
“Yes, yes, I will immediately relay the message to Mr. Bernard.”
Halvard quickly nodded, then promptly asked, “Should I inform Mr. Bernard about identity as a cultivator?”
your
“Deal with it yourself!”
Emrys casually responded, never really caring about the issue. However, when it reached Halvard’s ears, it surprised him.
What should I do?
Is he hinting at something?
Generally, when a person of high status said, “see to it,” it was not a casual remark. Instead, it was a way of telling the other party, “You should know what to do.”
Halvard felt that he was quite sensible, so he decided not to reveal the big shot’s identity in case it upset him.
Halvard silently praised himself for his cleverness.
On the way back, Blanche was very reserved.
She was experiencing unprecedented restraint.
This was a normal state of mind.
Just as when Larissa first found out that Emrys was indeed the Empyrean Lord, she was almost compelled to kneel in reverence. However, thanks to their deep sibling bond, Larissa quickly adapted to the situation.

However, it was different for Blanche.
She had come to know Emrys because of Sierra, and their acquaintance hadn’t been for a very long time.
Before, Blanch held feelings of gratitude toward Emrys, along with a hint of affection. However, now, she dared not express this fondness, her thoughts becoming even more humble.
The primary shock came from Emrys‘ identity as a cultivator. It was simply too overwhelming.
Naturally, Emrys had noticed the change in Blanche. She didn’t dare to walk too close to him, silently falling a few steps behind. So, with a bitter smile, he said, “Ms. Langford, do you think I’m going to eat you?”
“Huh?”
Startled, Blanche regained her composure and stammered out an explanation. “No, Mr. Lund. I… I…”
“All right. I understand.”
As Emrys spoke, his pace slowed down slightly, walking side by side with Blanche.
At first, Blanche was somewhat apprehensive. As Emrys slowed his pace, she unconsciously did the same, once again falling slightly behind him.
Emrys had no choice but to slow down a bit, teasing with a smile, “Ms. Langford, at the rate we’re going, Bernard might reach the Langford residence before us.”
Blanche’s face turned a slight shade of red.
Her mood had indeed relaxed quite a bit.
So, it turns out that Mr. Lund is still the same Mr. Lund.
A moment later, Blanche asked, “Mr. Lund, why are we waiting for Mr. Bernard at the Langford residence?”
Logically speaking, after Emrys killed Gilbert, Bernard would undoubtedly be furious. He could have simply waited at Westwind Wolf Hunting Ground, as Bernard would surely
arrive soon.
