Chapter 685 Three Slaps
Don’t mention the age, for as long as one’s cultivation reaches profound depths, age becomes but a number, irrelevant to their vitality.
Upon reflection, Emrys realized that Athos hadn’t truly been defeated in his past encounters. That woman may not have given him the most aesthetically pleasing introduction, but she had imparted upon him invaluable mastery of techniques.
It was undoubtedly a foolproof path to profit without any accompanying loss.
Ameera’s allure was undeniable, but her current harsh demeanor significantly tarnished her otherwise appealing image.
Emrys couldn’t help but think to himself, She might be attractive, but that attitude is a real turn–off.
He decided to voice his thoughts, saying, “Look, I understand, you’re much older than me, but we’re not related, and you don’t hold any significant role in my life. So how can you accuse me of disrespecting you?”
Emrys‘ lack of respect for Ameera was evident, and upon hearing his words, Pamela, standing nearby, couldn’t suppress a bitter laugh bubbling up inside her.
Those words struck a chord with her; they reminded her of when she first met Emrys, who had insulted her by calling her an “old witch.”
The sting of being called old was something women of any age detested.
As expected, Ameera’s expression turned ice–cold in an instant, and her nostrils flared with indignation.
What does he mean by “much older” than me? Isn’t he just in his twenties or thirties? And how could he use “much” twice in a row? We don’t have that big of an age gap between us!
Ameera, incensed, raised her hand with the intention of delivering a resounding slap to Emrys‘ face. “You ignorant baldy!” she exclaimed, “Today, I’m going to teach you a lesson in basic humanity!”
“Whoa, slow down there!” Quincey, taken aback by Ameera’s impending action, quickly intervened. “Ms. Lozano, young people can be impulsive and might say the wrong things. Why bother getting into an argument with him?”

Ameera shot Quincey a cold glance and responded, “Mr. Gallagher, are you trying to protect him? He’s no longer a disciple of your sect, right? You said yourself that his life or death doesn’t concern you. Since it doesn’t concern you, then is there a problem with me educating this disrespectful kid?”
Quincey contemplated for a moment before replying. “Since you’ve made up your mind, please proceed as you wish. However, I feel compelled to remind you not to regret your decision later.”
After all, you stand no chance against Emrys.
Ameera scoffed. Regret? What a joke!
Overwhelmed with rage, she didn’t hesitate any longer and directed her icy gaze back at Emrys. “You’re being incredibly rude, baldy. I think three slaps as a lesson wouldn’t be too excessive, would it?”
Emrys calmly responded, “Not too much at all.”
Unexpectedly, Emrys displayed remarkable composure and continued, “I can handle three slaps without a problem. But I’m not sure you have the ability to deliver them.”
Ameera retorted angrily, “You’re about to find out!” With a cold huff, she chose to skip the verbal exchange and went straight for the slap, her hand poised to strike Emrys face.
You have the audacity to lay a finger on me?
A chill suddenly flashed through Emrys’s dark

Initially, out of respect for Ninette’s mother, he had planned to let her save face. However, her confrontational approach left him with no choice but to stand his ground.
Don’t push your luck!
“Quincey!”
As Ameera’s hand was about to make contact and Emrys was prepared to respond, a deafening roar suddenly erupted from within the Crimson Sun Sect.
