The gravity of the situation dawned on Logan. This was no jest.

Zephyr’s voice remained icy as he continued, “The member who entrusted Gideon with our family’s secret inheritance was executed for this very offense. He confessed to it before his demise. Do you truly believe I would lie about such a matter?” 

“No, certainly not!” Logan’s anxiety escalated, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. “When Gideon was alive, he often stored important items in his study. I’ll bring some men to search the study immediately.” 

“I’ll go with you,” declared Zephyr. 

After a moment of hesitation, Logan nodded decisively. “Okay!” 

Gideon’s study had once been off–limits to all but him in the Judd family, but what Zephyr had revealed today was shocking. 

It wasn’t merely a matter concerning the Judd family; even Cloudmist Academy would tread. cautiously around the secret clan. 

Logan, along with some key members of the Judd family and Zephyr entered Gideon’s study, meticulously combing through every corner. Yet, despite their efforts, they couldn’t find anything. 

Their search yielded little more than a handful of discarded drafts nestled within the desk drawer. Upon a cursory inspection of the draft’s contents, Zephyr flew into a rage, his voice thundering with indignation. “The audacity! To think he dared to decipher our family’s secret inheritance technique!”

Indeed, Logan’s deduction proved to be accurate. 

Gideon had always kept the secret inheritance technique locked away until recently, he took both the original version and simplified version out to study and cultivate it. However, after his cultivation, he focused on seeking revenge on Emrys and neglected to return it to its original place.
