Chosen By The Moon (Dylan) novel Chapter 436

Lewis POV.

I was fighting with all my strength, attempting to hone in on the full moon, allowing it to give me the energy to fight with everything I had.

This man had in front of me had caused so much pain and heartache to the world, and he had tortured the love of my life, simply for his own twisted ending. I had no intention of letting him live, and I was doing a fairly good job at subduing him, I was getting very close to ending it.

His movements were slowly becoming less frequent, as we both began to show our fatigue, we had after all, been fighting for hours on end.

That all ended however, when I heard an almighty shout coming from a few feet away from where we were, Dylan’s shout! My head turned towards her, watching in horror as Warren dragged her across the grass by what looked like her arm!

As soon as Josh clocked onto my distraction, he took advantage of it, and began tearing into me, while I in turn tried my hardest to best him.

There was no doubt He was a strong Lycan but honestly, it was only due to my distraction that he was able to get this upper hand over me.

My exhausted body began to shift back into my human form and I watched as Josh did the same, showing nothing but malice on his face. He truly did hate me for pursuing Dylan, not that he had the rights to be, not after everything with Iliana.

While I lay there taking hit after hit, I couldn't help but believe that this truly was the end of all the fighting and the tyranny.

I couldn't fathom were my senses were as I forced my broken body to stand. I wasn't going to let her accept him. Not after everything, and certainly not to save me. "Dyl...?" My voice came out as a groan before I tumbled to the ground again, only to see the shadow of my love being held by her neck by the person I once called friend. "No..." my raspy voice tried to shout, but I too was bleeding, and my face felt like it was on fire as I attempted to stand once again, only to fall onto my stomach, hitting my chin onto the blood covered grass below me.

I coughed, and shook my head trying to shake off my half conscious state, my hands roughly wiped my eyes free from the blood that coated them enough to see the scene in front of me. If my body wouldn't let me walk then I'd force it to crawl over to my girl. I dragged my body forward using the remaining strength in me, only to see Josh's teeth roughly embed themselves into her flesh.

Marking someone was supposed to be intimate, it was supposed to be completed while being embraced lovingly by each other, but Josh held Dylan tightly, her back pressed up against his chest, while her arms dangled down her sides, blood pouring from her right shoulder and down the mangled limb. I honestly didn’t think she even had any feeling left in it, it was that badly damaged, and practically severed from the rest of her body.

It was The pain from his mark, however that caused an earth shattering scream to leave her lips, and tears began to fill my own eyes, as my blurry vision took in the scene in front of me in.
