Avan's POV

I smiled as I walked towards the door. I still can't believe the fact that she is here. Finally, in my clutch and now I will hide her from this world. She should only belong to me and no one. As for that bastard Hardwick, even if he digs down the whole universe he will never find her. Now that my Shyla is here I will see how she runs away from me.

The two guards waiting outside the door nodded their heads when they saw me. I stopped and looked at them..

"Is everything alright?"

"Yes, there's no problem," one of them replied.

"Good, you were not seen by them were you?"

"Don't worry, they don't know about it. And the chances of them finding this place is impossible"

Hearing the positive answers I felt ease in my heart and once again nodded my head before pushing the door open and walking inside. I switched on the light and roamed my eyes around. I saw my mate sitting on the bed placed in the corner. She was leaning her head on her knees hiding her beautiful face. I smiled and walked closer to her. I couldn't hold back my excitement anymore. Fuck, finally she is here again like those time two years ago.

"Are you tired? Do you want to drink something?" I asked.

Suddenly she looked up and her eyes widened. Her face was clouded with shock. Looked like she didn't expect to see me here.

"Surprised?" I smirked.

"It's you" I can see her eyes turned dark, the purple orbs of her slightly turned in violet shade. I was mesmerized by her beauty. Fuck she is so beautiful. Why the hell I did not notice it before and tried to get a clone instead of the real one.

"Of course it's me" I smiled at her then sat on the bed "you think others would get the chance to get you?"

"Why did you kidnap me?" She asked glaring at me.

"It's not kidnapping darling, I brought you back where you belong rightfully. This is where you should be living. With me and in my arms"

"You are so sick Avan. And don't you dare use those disgusting endearments of yours on me. I feel disgusted whenever I hear you calling me" her expression changed and now it's full of disgust.

I tried to control my anger. I smiled at her warmly. She is angry and of course she will be. I need to be gentler. I couldn't win her with force or anger.

Suddenly the corner of her lips lifted with a mocking smile "oh really? I so believe in you Avan. You are such a great person and I should be feeling warm because you have realised now? After torturing me and ripping off my own dignity? You just understood the truth now?"

"I know you won't believe in me. But I will keep trying until you understand me and my points. You were not giving me any choice either so I was forced to bring you here without your constant"

"You are already 2 years late Avan. And the mate bonding you are referring to had already been broken the day I rejected you as my mate. So don't think you can use a broken bond to persuade me" she hissed.

I smiled "we are mates and no one can change it"

"It's broken and the thing which is broken could not be considered as strong one. The loopholes will crack it even more and at the end it will turn into ashes" Her eyes were blazing with fire as she glared at me snapping every word.

Such a sharp-tongued woman. She even looks beautiful when she is angry. I never knew that she could be this alluring in her anger. How come I was so blind that I couldn't see the gem under the cover of charcoal?

"Mate bonds are forever my dear. It could never be broken with just some words. I guess you are thinking that everything between us is done because you said so? But I don't think that way.
