Contract Marriage: My Sweet Bossy Wife novel Chapter 75

“This is her own business. It has nothing to do with me. Hurry up and work!”

Lachlan raised his head proudly and looked at Jessica with contempt.

“I see. I’ll go.”

Jessica calmly pulled on Summer who was fighting for her and signaled that she was okay.

“You’re narrow-minded! The temporary workers are hired at any time according to needs. When has there ever been a shortage of manpower! You did it on purpose!”

Summer didn’t care so much. When she saw someone bully Jessica, she was the first to disagree.

“Well, Summer, do you really want to protect Jessica? How do you protect her? People are divided into groups. Look at your appearance! How could you get a nerve occupying the position of my fiancée? Shame on you! Who would fall in love with a fat pig?”

Lachlan looked at Summer coldly as if she made him nauseous.

“Lachlan, do you think you are Apollo? Since you see me this way, why should I be wronged myself? I declare our engagement is invalid!”

Summer was shaking all over, holding back her tears.

“You finally got a little self-awareness. That would be great. If you dare to go back on your word, you will see how I deal with you!”

Lachlan was afraid of missing the opportunity, so he agreed without even thinking about it.

“I will never go back on my words. Don’t disgust me!”

Summer didn’t want to be too passive, so she mustered up her courage to strike back.

“Jessica, no matter what you do, I’m your good friend, and I’ll be with you.”

After speaking, Summer took Jessica’s hand and turned to leave.

Summer really had real feelings for Lachlan. Although his character was not very good, he had a good family background, he was handsome and received an outstanding education. Apart from his bad character, there should be nothing to be picky about. Her words were like poured water. While crying, she helped Jessica to clean up.

“Summer, don’t be sad. Lachlan is not a good man with positive values. You’d better get away from people with bad intentions. For a girl like you, you need to find a good man who can match you.”

Jessica took out a pack of tissues from her pocket and handed it to Summer.

“I...I’m not sad anymore. I just...I just feel dejected in my heart. I’ll be fine in a while...”

Summer took the tissue and wiped away her tears. Her voice was still a little choked up.

“Oh my God, I’m exhausted. It’s finally time to get locked up.”

Summer put the rag aside, moved her whole body, and said panting.

The two of them had been busy for a whole day cleaning everywhere the inside and outside of the Capttar Medical School. They were exhausted to the point of getting out of shape.

“Thanks for your help today. It’s very late now, and you should go home and rest. I’ve wasted the whole day, and now I have to go back to the pharmacy to make up for it.”

Jessica looked at Summer gratefully.

“You also rest early. Don’t get tired of your body. Then... I’m leaving...”

Summer wanted to accompany Jessica in her heart, but she was just an herbalist who was not very proficient in medical skills and couldn’t provide any useful information. So she said goodbye to Jessica and left the Capttar Medical School as if she had drained all her strength.

“Take care.”

Jessica warned.

Jessica took a deep breath, turned back to the pharmacy, pushed the door open, and just about to raise her hand to turn on the light switch of the pharmacy, she bumped into a solid object with temperature.

“Oh!”

Jessica raised her head. In the dim light, she seemed to see a figure, she was so frightened that she exclaimed, and subconsciously raised her hand and waved it randomly.

With a clanking sound, the master switches of all the lights in the pharmacy were turned on.
