Katrina adjusted Kylan’s shirt, and then she put on a nice blazer to match. “Handsome.”
He smiled. “You are so beautiful.”
Katrina blushed at him. “Stop lying. I’m not wearing makeup. You can see all my pores.”
He cupped her face and peppered her face with kisses. “You’re beautiful,” he repeated
Katrina smiled. “Thank you.”
She walked over and got a handkerchief before she folded it up and put it in his breast pocket. “That’s it. Do you need help with your hair?”
He hummed. “Does it look bad or good?”
Katrina smiled. “You always look good no matter which hairstyle you like.”
“I want something done to it though.”
Katrina held his hand and pulled him along to the bathroom. She then put some hair product on her hand. “Sit.”
He sat down.
Katrina didn’t waste time running her fingers through his hair and pulled back his hair on one side and let one side hang in his face. She smiled. “Perfect.” She washed her hands as Kylan grabbed Katrina from behind, and kissed her shoulders. Katrina giggled. “Kylan.”
He growled. “I was thinking, how about we have a repeat of last night here in the bathroom.”
Katrina slapped his hands off her. “Watch your hands, Mister. You have a work meet-up to go to.”
Kylan sighed heavily as he closed his eyes. “I told Isabella I wouldn’t go to a party and not organize one, but she insisted.”
Katrina turned to face him. “You need to go now. Ryan and the others will be there, too, you know.”
He sighed and pulled her along. “Do you want to come? Clarence is at Alois’ condominium, right?”
Katrina sighed. “Kylan.”
“I can’t go to this gathering without you.”
Katrina let him go and went into the walk-in and grabbed a dress, before throwing her clothes off and changing into a nice underwear and the dress. She then turned to her waiting husband and made a face at him. “Pain in the butt husband.”
Kylan chuckled as he crossed his arms against his chest. “I love you.”
Katrina did her makeup and her hair before she slipped her shoes on. “Alright, let’s go.”
He hugged Katrina tightly. “Thank you so much.”
“Uh-huh. Are we drinking?”
He nodded. “Yes, so I asked our driver to pick us up.”
“Oh, speaking of. Have you talked to Oscar?”
“He’s doing fine. He will visit us one of these days.” He put his arm around her. “Did I ever tell you how amazing you are?”
Katrina sighed. “Stop buttering me up. I’ve already agreed to go.”
The driver went out to open the door for them but Kylan raised his hand to stop him. He then opened the door for Katrina and let her in. “I know, but I just want to tell you how amazing you are.”
Katrina pouted as he got in after her. “Don’t pout,” he said.
Katrina turned her head and kissed him. “I’m not pouting. I’m just teasing you as always.”
He placed his hand on her knee, then slipped it up the inside of her thigh. “I should punish you,” he whispered in her ear.
Katrina slapped his hand. “Stop it,” she said with a chuckle. She called her father and told him they were going to a meeting so Clarence would have to spend a night with her grandfather in the meantime. Alois assured her that Maine and Aaron would be with them and that Clarence would be safe.
As they arrived in front of a five-star restaurant, the driver, Ben opened the door for them and Kylan helped her out. “You’re so pretty.”
Katrina smiled. “It’s almost like you’re stuck on repeat, Kylan. What’s with you nowadays?”
He kissed her temple. “I just like you to know I love you and I think you are pretty.” He opened the door of the restaurant, then walked in and looked around. “I don’t see anyone in here.”
They were greeted by a waiter and Kylan mentioned his name. The waiter then ushered them into the private area where there was a table and a private bar.
Katrina saw Isabella waiting in a stunning short dress, her long hair was down and her makeup was very on point. “I umm…I see Isabella but no one else.”
Kylan frowned. “Odd.” He walked over to Isabella. “Evening, where are the others?”
She shrugged. “I’m not sure, but it’ll be nice with the two of us.”
“Three.” He smiled at Katrina. “I dragged my wife along.”
Katrina smiled at Isabella. “Sorry, I’m crashing the party, but Kylan insisted.” She sat down. “It will be nice to see everyone together.”
Kylan kissed the top of her head. “I’ll get the drinks.”
“Thank you, Hon.”
Kylan turned to Isabella. “What do you want?”
The assistant blushed. “I umm…I don’t know…ah…”
Katrina placed her hand on Isabella’s. “Do you like cocktails?”
Isabella kept her face straight but she wanted to slap Katrina’s hand away from hers. She hated her touch so much and she hated that Katrina was here.
“They’re expensive,” Isabella chose to respond.
Katrina looked at Kylan. “Two cocktails, you know what I like. You like strawberries, Isabella?”
Kylan hummed. “They’re good.”
Isabella perked up upon hearing Kylan’s approval. “Yes!”
Katrina turned to Kylan. “Strawberry daiquiri it is.”
Kylan nodded. “Got it. I’ll be back.”
Katrina waved to him, then looked to Isabella. “I thought we were going to be a bit late, but it’s weird how no one is here yet.”
She gulped and just wanted to slap Katrina. She always believed she was prettier than this b*tch and wore the nicer dress. She hated how youthful Katrina looked as well. She tried everything to look young, but Katrina seemed to just do a fantastic job and it pissed her off. Isabella hated it even more that Katrina had a baby too and she was still so young looking.
Katrina had a nice figure as well, it just pissed her off and she thought Katrina probably used all of Kylan’s money to look that way.
She clenched her jaw, then sighed. “Well, it is weird.”
Kylan walked over with the drinks. “Everything okay?”
Katrina nodded and pulled her phone out of her bag. “I’m going to call the guys and ask them when they are coming, okay?”
Kylan nodded. “Sure.”
Katrina got up and walked outside. “Hey, Ryan, are you coming tonight?”
“Tonight?”
Katrina frowned. “Yeah, Isabella had said she sent out invites to the get together drinks right now.”
He hummed. He was silent for a while before he cleared his throat. “I’m on my way. Sorry, I was just finishing up some stuff. I’ll call the others to hurry them up.”
Katrina smiled. “Thanks, Ryan. You’re the best.” Katrina ended the call and went inside.
Kylan looked at her and raised an eyebrow. “So?”
She smiled at Kylan. “Ryan’s running a little late, he says sorry, but he’s going to call the others for me.” Katrina pulled a little face. “I should have called them myself. After all, one of them might end up marrying Max.”
Kylan groaned. “I don’t want another scandal in the company if this is an inside relationship.”
Katrina pinched his cheek. “Don’t be mean, Max and Eleanor weren’t even in one department.”
Kylan smirked at her. “If I’m a good boy when it comes to them, will I get a reward?”
Katrina covered Kylan’s mouth and turned to Isabella. “I’m so sorry, Isabella. He’s a bit of an idiot sometimes.”
Isabella smiled. “I think he’s perfect.”
Katrina picked up her grasshopper cocktail and let Kylan go as she sipped from it. “He’s not perfect and I think that’s why I love him because he’s just Kylan.”
Kylan smirked as he pressed his nose against her hair. “Thank you and you’re right, perfection doesn’t exist. Though, in my eyes, you are.”
Katrina smiled. “You always have to one up me.”
“Yes.”
Isabella smiled. “Well, I think he’s very wonderful and perfect. I’ve never had such a great boss and person in my life.”
Katrina glanced at Kylan and smirked, then she looked away. Not long after, Ryan and the gang were ushered inside the private room. Katrina stood up as Ryan hurried over with Max, Eleanor, Harry, and other old friends from the Ross Corp.
Kylan took the opportunity to pull Katrina to his side and hugged her.
Katrina turned to Kylan and whispered to him. “I think Isabella has a crush on you.”
