"Wow, Ella is so loved by Mr. Shao. He drives Ella to work this early. It's so sweet." Every one was looking at Ella who just got out of the car.
...
She said goodbye to Samuel and walked to the studio leisurely under everyone's envious gaze.
Every one continued talking about their romance. Half an hour later, Samuel was back.
He asked some random guy in the film crew with a big smile on his face, "Could you tell me where Ella is?"
"She is... over there." He pointed to the dressing room not very far away, staring at Samuel blankly.
Samuel suddenly understood why so many homosexuals joined the theater. Even this stranger blushed when he saw such a handsome man as Samuel.
"Thank you." Samuel walked briskly towards to the dressing room.
In the Dressing Room.
Ella was sitting there, and fiddling with her diamond ring. The make-up artist, Ada, was busy powdering her face.
Ada was a very young make-up artist. Her boyfriend was Wendy's brother. Ada has been Ella's make-up artist for 6 months. And since Ella was usually in a good mood, she couldn't resist gossiping with her in an innocent schoolgirlish way. Ada knew everything about Ella and Samuel's relationship. "They are saying that Mr. Shao drove you here today. That's so sweet."
Ella smiled joyfully after she heard the name "Mr. Shao". She made herself demure, and replied modestly, "He's only okay. He's not as thoughtful as you think."
Ella didn't want to arouse much attention. Samuel was very thoughtful, but she didn't need everyone to know that. She was satisfied keeping it only between them. "He's not? You and Mr. Shao are on the entertainment news so many times a week, sometimes even make the headlines. You seemed to be very close in those pictures. You can find the love in Mr. Shao's eyes. Your smile is very sweet when you look at him." Ada was confused. She put down the powder compact and started drawing Ella's eyebrows.
...
My smile was very sweet? Ella thought about the time they spent together, and she was really very happy.
"Okay. He is above average."
Ada could not help a suppressed giggle. She looked at Ella through the mirror, and said, "Ella, your cheeks are so red that I won't need the blusher today, I think."
Ella's face became redder. She waxed angry and said, "Ada, next time your boyfriend comes to pick you up, I won't let you go to him. I'll make you work late."
"Ah? You are cruel. If you do so, I will find Mr. Shao and tell on you." Ada knew that Ella was only joking, so she played along.
'Tell on me?' Ella giggled and said smugly, "Trust me. Samuel won't believe what you say. He will believe in me." Though Samuel mistrusted her several times before, after all the things they went through, she should have faith in him.
"My goodness. You are bragging about your sweet romance. Do I really need to hear it this early? I haven't had my breakfast yet." Ada chatted with Ella while maintaining a steady hand, doing her makeup methodically. Though Ada was very young, she won the international Make-up Artist Competition last year.
Before Ella said anything more, she heard a familiar voice come from behind them. "Hello. I brought Ella some breakfast."
Samuel was in a good mood, because he'd been eavesdropping. To hear Ella talking about him in such a fashion made his heart melt away. She'd even made good-humored jokes when they were talking about him. It was a joy to behold.
Ella and Ada spun around with astonishment to see him here. He walked closer, and gave her a kiss under the bright lights of the makeup mirror.
Ada finally got to observe the sweet romance herself. She put down the eyebrow pencil with a sing-song tone, and left the room. She ran and told everyone she met what had happened. The whole film crew knew about the story in less than a ten minutes.
