Damien made sure to wake up as early as possible. For the meantime, he had dumped the thought of returning to that creepy island. He hadn't arrived at a conclusion. He wasn't sure how he was going to get rid of those weird scorpions either. He never forgot the reward promised by the system if he was able to have his way. He gulped.
He had made up his mind to do one thing at a time. He refused to further juggle so many tasks together. He had convinced himself that if he was able to concentrate on one task at a time, there would be focus and efficiency.
And at the moment, the task on ground, which he had waked up early to, was the clothes of Cannibals. By the end of the day, he should be done.
It was a sane realization to knuckle under that if he was able to complete the civilization task, he would have more than enough skills to rid predators off the small island.
He had brought out the machine needed for the task and began to weave the bast fibres which had been processed. It's been almost a week, it was the best time to get the work rolling.
To save himself of stress and trouble, he had made his working space the small room on the watchtower. A Cannibal was still at the foot of the tree watching. He didn't have much to worry about, regarding the girls.
"In about six hours I should be done with this."
He had exchanged points for the best SEAMSTRESS skill before now. He worked quickly and passionately.
As he worked, he couldn't help but think of the girls. What Ayisha said to the girls remained fresh on his mind as though he heard the words few seconds ago. And it's already a day past.
"Why should I worry about what they do?"
He quizzed, not for a second lagging on the work. He couldn't afford letting the time burn away.
"I think I should? Since Ayisha is interested, the girls would want to turn every block. Which means, Claire must have told her about the tree."
He shook his head. He didn't quite agree with that. Probably he thought he was thinking too much. But wasn't that the reasonable fact to knuckle under?
"Maybe, maybe not. Well, whatever it may be, they can't find me. I should keep the Cannibal watching. Let's see how smart the girls are."
He was so confident of his skills. He knew he might be taking unnecessary risks. Like he took and ended up with a fake-death coupled with all of this.
"I swear. The one-month celebration would had turned out great if it's not because of that crazy ---"
He realized that he was wastingtime. At that moment, the burning heart had made him stop weaving.
"This won't do."
He resumed working. With more dexterity.
"I should trouble them the more. Yes, I won't go easy on them."
His eyes squinted in an unjustifiable rage. Obviously he could see how worried some of them were about him.
He swept all the thoughts into a bowl and hurled it over his attention. By doing that, he could get the best of his work.
After four hours, he was sweating profusely and had finished thirty pieces of clothes. He groaned and dropped on his back, leaning.
"Arrghhh... I'm dying."
He felt pain in his legs. His legs felt stiff. It seemed as though he was suffering from muscle spasms. He had been taking the same position for four hours.
"That's enough for the day. That should do. I'm a king, not their slaves."
He argued as though there was someone saying otherwise. After he had had enough of the rest, he sat back up.
"I'm done for the day. I can't go any two hours further. I'd collapse. I don't give a fuck if they are ---"
He realized that he was doing too much. He took in a deep breath.
"Okay. Maybe I would continue tomorrow or something."
He got up. He dropped on his butts again.
"Oh shit... my legs."
He had to wait for a couple minutes to straighten out his legs and massage them to be able to get back on his feet. Diary of a jungle boy!
He got up back again, and tapped his legs on the floorboards, in an attempt to help the blood circulate. He moved forward and leaned on the window of the room through which he looked to see what was going on far ahead of him. There was another window behind.
A part of him wondered why none of the girls came around there.
"That's a good thing. I'm not worried about them."
He grunted and sneered as though someone said otherwise.
When he was certain that he was strong enough, he walked back to the woven clothes and packed them up. He put them in a sac and hurled the sac across his shoulder, down his shoulder blade. His fisted left hand, holding the opening of the sac together.
He activated the invisible feature before stepping out of the room. He climbed down the watchtower and dropped beside the Cannibal.
"Come with me."
He called at the Cannibal who turned at once, bowing.
"Is that you, Lugal, divine one?"
"Meet me at your village."
He changed his mind and zoomed like the wind away from him to the village of the Cannibals. When he got to the fallen fences, he hesitated.
"Should I have waited for him? Should I go back to him."
He shook his head.
"Why should I?"
It seemed as though he didn't care whether or not the Cannibal heard him clearly before he'd zoomed off. Something seemed to be taking a toll on him. Like it was on the girls.
It's safe to say that not only the girls have changed, but the king of the Cannibals too, Lugal, the Divine one.
He zoomed again through the village. Was it strange that he already knew where the Cannibals would be?
He got to the hut. The hut where his body used to be lain. His jaw dropped when he walked to the front of the open door.
