"What do you think those bitches are up to?"
Allison broke the silence. The girls were in the living room. They had nothing precisely going on. They were all seated, looking from one person to another. Much of what they had been doing for the past few days. Quite a vocation huh?
"What does it matter. Why should we care about them. Shouldn't we worry about ourselves?"
Jada snapped. It was very obvious that majority of the girls didn't feel obligated to anyone. Things already changed. But some people still haven't adapted.
"Watch your mouth when you talk to me."
Allison glared at Jada who rolled her eyes, scoffing.
"That wench."
Allison gritted her teeth, almost ruining her beautiful face.
"Jada has a point, we can't keep getting worried about the three when we are doing nothing precisely. That's just dumb."
Mira found her words.
"What do you suggest we do then, miss know-all?"
That was Tendzel attacking for no reason.
"We shouldn't act like we are uncouth. We are of the BMX group. We used to have our lives and do whatever we wanted. Shouldn't we be thinking of a way forward? Probably find a way to leave this island. We can't stay here forever. If some of you have decided to remain her forever... I don't think I'm in on that."
Everyone was in mouth agape. Guess who had just given an epistle. Evelyn.
"Woah... the cry baby has something in her head?"
Tendzel trolled.
"What do you think? That everyone is as dumb as you? That everyone pretend to be rash and illogical because their lips chose to move whenever they feel the urge?"
Further shock almost sizzled Tendzel's face. She couldn't believe both her eyes and ears.
"Is this really Evelyn or is there an imposter somewhere?"
Lisa asked the question which majority of the girls would had paid to ask.
"Let's get this over with, I have something else to do."
Evelyn rolled her eyes. The girls looked from one person to the other. Even Allison was swept off her feet.
"Are we really going to keep looking at each other?"
Evelyn got up on her feet.
"I'm sorry, like I said, I have so many things to do today!"
She walked away from them to her room. She picked up her crossbow and walked back into the sitting room.
"I will be back soon."
She announced, then slowly took Jada in her gaze. Her eyes squinted,
"Better watch your back."
She warned then walked away, out of the castle. The girls had their eyes glued on her. Jada's face was a mess of confusion. Her eyes bulging heavily at their sockets.
"Wahh... I had goosebumps just watching her."
"Wait... somebody wake me up, is something wrong with my eyes? Or my brain?"
"No, that can't be Evelyn. No way it's her."
"Better watch your back..."
Lisa repeated those words then shrugged,
"Wow... that was so cool. Evelyn was so cool."
"Maybe I should follow her."
Mira volunteered.
"She has a Crossbow. You'd better watch your back."
Lisa teased and few people bursted out laughing.
Evelyn was walking through the woods. She kept on going, briskly but carefully. Occasionally she would look at her back whether or not someone was behind her.
Eventually, she got to a cave. The cave where Lisa and Claire used to live in. She looked at her back again to be sure that she wasn't being followed.
