Book12 Chapter9.
Jordan drove me to his house.
I stood at the entrance, refusing to go inside.
"Elena will get mad," I said.
Jordan said, "You have time to worry about others? Look at what shape you're in."
Besides the scrape on my hand, I was covered in dirty snow.
"Also, Hannah, look around. Does it look like any woman's been here?"
"You're not living together?" I asked.
"I never even got together with her," he said.
Jordan tossed a contract onto me.
"Six months ago, she found me and proposed a deal. She didn't want to be pressured into casting couch situations, so I pretended to be her boyfriend. In return, she helped me handle difficult clients."
He paused, then explained further, as if I wouldn't understand.
"Some clients like to push women onto people's beds, thinking everyone goes along with it. I hate that. Elena helped me block them."
The contract was clearly written. It didn't interfere with each other's personal lives.
Jordan took my hand and treated my wound.
