Crawling Back To Her Series Redemption and Refuse novel Chapter 63

Books Chapter3.

In the hospital, the smell of disinfectant was particularly pungent.

Juliana sat in the waiting room, eyes tightly closed, trying to escape the discomfort.

A strong urge to flee surged within her, but her rational mind told her she couldn't do that.

The door to the doctor's office opened, and she opened her eyes to see the doctor holding her medical report, his brow furrowed.

Juliana followed the doctor into the office.

The doctor sat at the desk, studying her case report intently, his brow becoming more furrowed.

Juliana sat nervously opposite him, her head lowered as she twisted the hem of her clothes, her heart filled with unease.

The doctor set down the documents, sighed, and said, "Ms. Shaffer, your condition is not looking good."

Juliana looked up, tears glistening in her eyes. "Is it. getting worse?"

The doctor nodded.

"Your tumor is located in a critical part of the brain, and emotional fluctuations are very detrimental to your health. Your recent emotional upheavals could cause the condition to worsen more quickly."

Juliana lowered her head, tears streaming down. "I know... But..."

Seeing her distress, the doctor stood up, walked over to Juliana, and gently patted her shoulder.

"Ms. Shaffer, you need to be strong. The most important thing now is to keep your emotions stable, which wil greatly help with the treatment."

Juliana looked up at the doctor, trying to force a smile. "Thank you, Doctor."

After leaving the doctor's office, Juliana walked alone down the hospital corridor.

She took out her phone, trying to contact Stanley, but her finger hesitated over the send button.

Just then, Stanley's words hit her like a hammer to the chest.

"This is our child, and I'll take responsibility. I'll ask for a divorce from Juliana when I get back. I will give you a home."

Juliana felt as though she had been struck by lightning, frozen in place.

She couldn't believe her ears, and tears blurred her vision.

Trembling, she forced herself to walk towards the exit, battling the intense pain inside her.

As Juliana left the hospital, the sunlight on her seemed to offer no warmth.

She stood by the roadside, recalling what she had just heard, her heart full of bitterness.

"Stanley, you betrayed me..."

She wiped the tears from her face, took a deep breath, and resolved to face reality.
