Books Chapter5.
I had many dreams. In one, I saw my parents. They had prepared a meal and were waiting for me at home.
When I walked through the door, my mom, as usual, complained about me coming home late, while smiling and walking over to help me with my things.
Dad picked up a wine glass to sneak a sip, but Mom caught him and snatched it away.
Dad, defeated, could only pout and complain to me.
"Juliana! Look! Your mom just bullies me! When you marry Stanley, you can't treat him like this!"
Mom quickly tapped Dad on the head with her fork.
"You fool, what nonsense are you talking about? Stanley treats Juliana so well, and he wouldn't say anything bad about her. Otherwise, why would I have married my precious daughter to him?"
Then, they both looked straight at me with their smiling eyes.
"Don't you think so, Juliana?"
I felt I should smile and say yes, to reassure them.
But inexplicably, I couldn't utter a word, only sitting there, crying.
I reached out shakily, wanting to embrace them.
I wanted to tell them not to go to deliver food to Stanley that afternoon.
There would be a madman out on the streets to attack passersby.
You would die there, and I would lose my parents.
I didn't want you to leave me. Please, stayed with me.
But looking at their familiar smiles, I desperately tried to open my mouth but couldn't make a sound.
I was frantic, waving my arms around.
Finally, I felt a bit of sound coming from my throat, but the next moment...
I heard only a strange voice.
